Scottish Inns and Suites Hitchcock/Santa Fe - Hotel in Hitchcock - 9002 Hwy 6, USA

The cleaning staff do an amazing job the room was spotless and well put together a very nice sight after long hours on the road. It had a big, comfortable and clean bed that provided great sleep the 4 nights we stayed there. Would definitely book again! Also the a/c unit inside is a godsend on those hot texas days much appreciated.

I should have known better when the clerk inside the lobby was behind a glass wall like a bank teller. There were many chairs outside the 2nd floor rooms that were from the rooms and were used for the residents to smoke outside. The sheets were stained and rock hard beds. The train going by at midnight with its horn signaled the start of the party in the next room with loud music and many people talking loudly outside, much more than just one room. There was no way anybody could then sleep and this went until 4am. There was nothing I could do since I feared for my safety with any retaliation. Breakfast was another fiasco. A sign over the breakfast area said 6-9am. I arrived at 6:30 but the lobby was locked. I called the number and the man said the breakfast started at 7:30 and they have a sign ordered with the correct hours. Good thing Circle K was next door so I could BUY my breakfast. There was nobody in the office so no wonder they don’t know what goes on at night with the partying. Before I checked in, they called me to make sure I was still coming since they needed rooms. I wish I had said no at that point. I am amazed at the 5 star reviews here which probably are from those permanent residents. This just shows you get what you pay for. Just say no.

The room was great - clean and comfortable with full size fridge, small dining table and desk. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful and switched me to another room where the TV remote worked (Good TV's by the way). The only negative was most of the tenants lived there permanently so most rooms were packed with partners and their 5 kids. I tried to go to sleep at 10pm and forget it. So much noise. Walls are very thin. I should have brought my box fan. If you do not need to go to bed early or get up early, great place to stay especially for the price ($55).

I have stayed here a few times and it was great but this time will be my last. The FEMA guest have got to go they are ruining this place. They are loud and disrespectful and have furniture out on the walkways and don’t move out of the way and hang out cussing all day and night long. The room was so dirty I wouldn’t let my daughter take her shoes off. We killed a couple of roaches and Tv Remote did not work.

A day and a half before I was set to stay there, before my cruise, they called and canceled my reservations. They informed me that they no longer had a room for me because they needed it for another group. So don't plan on staying here, because apparently if a better offer comes along, they will call you and drop you. It gets even better, I now have to find last minute accommodations, while they get to keep my payment for 7 - 10 days. I have to pay another hotel to stay in asap, while they keep my money. I had reserved a few weeks in advance.

Had a project at a plant in tx city and needed rooms for 16 people Mr. Emmitt was able to assist with no problem very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were clean staff was pleasant and handled any issues in a timely manner. Looking forward to using again next job thank you so much

3 days while visiting at the beach. Rooms were clean, no issues. If you're a light sleeper, there is a train that I heard several times a night. I saw no issues with anyone hanging out in the parking lot or loudness, per other reviews. Breakfast is very light: 2 juices, coffee, packaged Muffins and 2 cereals. Overall value was good for the price. Parking lot is well lit. Only issue with vehicles was larger trucks taking up more than one spot.

Always check if there is a train track near, it was very noisy. Rooms were clean, no close restaurants if you took an uber from the airport and the continental breakfast was cold surgar cereal and yogurt..no fruit. I gad to ask them for the door to be unlocked for breakfast no hot anything, coffee in your room 1 decade and 1 regular. Guests were 2. Never stay here again.
