Scheels - Sporting goods store in Johnstown - 4755 Ronald Reagan Blvd, USA

I moved away from the area 15yrs ago. Came for the holidays to visit family. First time in Scheels and I was very impressed! Had everything, reminds me of Cabelas. Prices little steep but seems to be a store for tourists more then locals.

1st time Scheeler here. What a great store, but more of an experience really. Had a great time seeing all the extra attractions! They have Stanley cups. And freeze dried Skittles!

This is not one of the best, this is The Best Sporting store I have visited ever. I am interested in purchasing new bicycle and Caleb, the Bike manager and he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and thought me about new bicycles in no time. I had the chance to chat also with Kayle manager and I can say the natural friendliness of people at this store is beyond 3xpectations and way over the standard of other and most stores out there nowadays. Thanks guys one more time. Michael, the Czech RV fulltimer ;)

Without a doubt, this store gets a 5 star rating, and a 5 star rating still doesn't seem enough for this store. When you go to Scheels it isn't just visiting a store, it's an experience where you could spend hours and hours enjoying yourself. There's just so much to mention, but I'll start from the beginning. Right when you walk in, you are greeted with the big fish tank. It's huge, and seeing all the different fish was really cool. Then, if you walk a little further, then you run into the very cool indoor ferris wheel. So attractions aside, Scheels specialty is sporting goods. With that said, they sell everything you can think of when it comes to sports. Any sport or sporting hobby you're interested in, they have stuff for it. From basketball, football, soccer, baseball, tennis, golf, running, and much more. Hunting, camping, and fishing stuff are also sold here with large sections for them, so there is a lot of stuff to browse through if that is your interest. There's just stuff for everyone. But there isn't just sporting stuff here,there's also a toys section for kids and a home decor section. Also, other fun activities they have are a little arcade and two mini bowling lanes. It's just so much fun for everyone of all ages. They also have a big candy shop/ cafe, which is really convenient when you need a drink or snack after exploring around the store for a while. The candy shop also sells a lot of jerky and fudge/chocolate. There were many highlights for me, but I think my favorite moment was riding the indoor ferris wheel. It's also worth mentioning that there are always employees walking around to help out, so they are highly accessible. All the employees I spoke with were very friendly and helpful. I did my best to mention everything this store had, but I'm sure I left some stuff out. Reading this doesn't give the Scheels experience any justice. Words aren't enough for it. A person just has to go and experience it for themselves, and I highly recommend going to this store if in the area. I know I go here every time I pass through.

What an establishment! We've been a few times now and each time, we are impressed with both the selection and with the customer service. If you've never been, you're in for a treat and honestly it's hard to put it into words. There are photo ops galore, a ferris wheel, a massive fish tank, a small arcade, a cafe, and so much more that has absolutely nothing to do with what you likely intended to accomplish on your shopping trip! In fact, during my first visit, I had to unexpectedly pause and have some snacks because I hadn't realized the stamina required for this particular excursion! It's such a fun place to go and believe me, it's easy to spend more money than you had planned because they just have that much stuff. SCHEELS isn't just a retail store; it's a destination. Bring snacks.

We’ll if cabelas and bass pro had a beautiful baby, SCHEELS is it and so much better than both. I was recommended from a buddy to stop and if I wasn’t flying out I probably would of bought half the store. Glad my wife wasn’t with or she would of gotten the other half. It has everything you need to be an outdoors man, woman or child. Was wondering around and met the manager who was awesome. I complemented him of his staff’s customer service because the are off the chain and amazing. I wish I lived closer but I’ll be back soon. Thank you for a great visit

Wow! Best store EVER! Staff is incredibly nice, store caters to all ages, and they honor their veteran discount on all purchases (even firearms/ammo). I thank sweet baby Jesus for the gift of Scheels.

This was my first time at Scheels and what an experience! I think they have everything you could ever need. There are two floors that carry everything from sports equipment, camping gear, athletic wear, a ferris wheel, children's play area, etc! It takes a while to go through the store to save the least. I found some good camping equipment and even had them price match on one of the items. It was so easy to ask for the price match at the register. Will definitely be going back in the future.
