Scena Wine Bar & Restaurant - Mediterranean restaurant in Darien - 1077 Post Rd, USA

Scena has the ability to be great. The only reason I am leaving 2 starts is because the bar tender Peter, was very respectful. Other than that, this restaurant is ridiculously over priced for below mediocre food. A small chicken Caesar salad was $26. You may as well go to one of the restaurants down the street who provide a meal for that price. The drinks were good, but they use very cheap tequila. Again, Peter was kind but the alcohol used in the drinks are not good unless you’re very specific with the brand of alc that you would prefer.

I brought my mother here who has celiacs and will get very sick if she eats gluten... The server ensure us that her meal was gluten free multiple times...it was not and my mother got very sick. This is a health concern the management should be taking way more seriously.

Since we arrive, They where very courteous, Christian the manager personally took us to an outdoor table I had requested, Many the waiter was great and very funny. Food was excellent there menu had plenty of great choices as well there wine selections and let me not talk about their deserts wow we had two over all great experience

We entered the Restaurant at 3pm and I see a worker eating by the bar. I finally located a waiter and asked if we can be seated outside. The waiter looked annoyed. After we were seated we proceeded to order appetizers. Appetizers came out timely but the best Is yet to come. We realize that we haven’t seen our waiter in about a half hr and we wanted to order entrees so I went inside to look for him but only seen the busboy. I explained to the busboy that we would like to order our entrees and I’m trying to locate our waiter or any waiter at this point but was told the waiter went home. I asked for the check and went to another restaurant to eat. It was embarrassing and hoping the owner makes the necessary changes otherwise i can’t see them being around much longer. I really hate to write reviews but this was a Rare experience.

Everything here was amazing. The food and service was above and beyond. 10/10 will be dining again.

I was recommended the pasta and the meatball by the waiter. The taste was not in the level of this restaurant. I actually didn't like it. The cocktail was good. Ice cream was OK.

What a disappointment. My husband and I made a reservation for an 1130 lunch at Scena only to show up and their restaurant not be open. When we arrived we saw that the restaurant doesn't open until 12 noon. I double checked our reservation confirmation which clearly stated 1130 am. Why didn't someone call us to adjust or cancel our reservation is beyond me. I called and left a message explaining the situation asking for a return phone call, which was never received. It was our 12 year wedding anniversary. This completely ruined our date as we only have a certain alloted time for lunch during the week. A week later and I still have yet to receive a phone call.

Upscale Italian restaurant. Quick service. Tasty dishes. Nice indoor and outdoor seating options.
