Really nice hidden gem around norman Oklahoma. Great gravel trails for walking or cycling. Not too long so it’s good for beginners. Beautiful scenery. There is also a small paved section with some workout equipment to stop and get more of a workout.
It's a gravel park for half of it. They have signs pointing which way to go, but there is an area that easily has been washed out multiple times. On the other side where it is paved that have workout equipment to do while on a walk or jog. Very dog friendly!
Nice park with walking hiking options. A smaller loop with a wide concrete sidewalk that has exercise stations along the path. At least three gravel paths (distances listed below). Part of the gravel trail has a creek and shade trees but most of the trail is not fully shaded. Did not see many people here which is a plus for me. Only downside is part of the trail is close to high-way 9 and the traffic noise is noticeable. Overall very nice and relaxing place if you enjoy outdoors and nature. Here are the appropriate distances for the walking loops:
Blue 1.3 miles or 2.1 Km
White 1.2 miles or 1.92 Km
Red 0.386 miles or 0.622 Km
Exercise loop 0.4 miles or 0.644 Km
Note this park has no restrooms.
Great place to run, there are multiple paths you can take, the trail is a little big hilly. However there is a pretty flat area with a small loop thats completely paved.
The park has plenty of parking, it's clean, and probably one of the best places to walk your dogs on the east side of Norman.
Great little park for trail running just around the corner from NCED. Worth the drive, run or walk to this park. The gravel is great vs pavement. The trail winds around trees and open spaces. IG @leopoldcuevas
Saxon Park is one of the most beautiful places to go for a walk in Norman, give it a try. Norman has one of the finest Parks departments not only in Oklahoma but in the entire region, Saxon is a pretty special piece of the Norman Parks puzzle
Not exactly spectacular, just pleasant easy walk. Rain before visit made trail pillow soft.
This park is a great place to check out! The trail is wide and flat, approximately 1.3 miles long. Easy hike with almost full shade when trees are leafed out. There is a pond and fishing is allowed. There is also a gazebo at the front. A fair amount
A very soothing neighborhood park where you can run, walk, practice yoga on the green grass, or sit with your friends inside the gazebo. I visited the place after a winter storm, and many treesâ branches were blocking the cement trails. Some citize
This park used to be run down, but after the renovations I worked say it is possibly one of the better parks in norman. Lots of creative objects for kids to play on, a good walking trail, and fantastic tree coverage (doesn't get too hot in the summe
i love this place. itâs my go-to when iâm having a bad day, or good. really any day. the owner is amazing and so genuinely kind and generous. i went in today because i was having an awful day and finally got the plant id been wanting for months.
I've spent the past 8 years of my life working in boutique fitness gyms as a trainer and Stoic is one of the best gyms I have ever been apart of. The programming is the perfect balance of traditional strength training with a great mix of conditioning
