This school is a joke. You pay all this money just to end up teaching yourself everything because the instructors won’t or can’t. The staff in the various offices (business, financial aid, etc) will test your patience like nothing else. They are rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. The few competent staff members are too lazy to do their job. It takes bombarding them with calls to get somebody to answer the phone. It takes an army of emails to receive one response. This school has completely messed up my credits from prior colleges, my tuition, my financial aid and treated me like I was to blame. Do not waste your time, money, or effort at Savannah Tech. Invest in literally any other school.
I love my coordinator she does a great job at letting me go on my pace but also pushing me to my limit . Her names Audra Talingini
Worst school Ever. Do not attend their LPN program. You are teaching yourself and the teachers they do hire gives out incorrect information that contradicts the books that you are required to spend over 1,000 for. They don't help you if a problem arises just push you off to the side because there's only 2 competent instructors and they are overwhelmed. They can't keep instructors because they quit after a few months. There is such a lack of communication 😒 it's sad. Please save yourself the stress and frustration and do your research. This school truly has the worst unorganized, unethical LPN program 😑
These five stars go specifically to Mr. David Lee (HVAC instructor). He was an outstanding instructor. He was always very caring, kind, nice, informative, and much more that cannot be expressed through words. Everyday he came with a smile and was ready to do everything in his power to help his students succeed. He may have sat us down and lectured us on book work but what he did the most was took us out and showed us hands on what to do and hat to expect out in the hvac field. Unfortunately I had to move on to another school because of personal reasons but I was very disappointed that I couldn’t finish out my college career with the best instructor I have ever encountered (Mr. David Lee). I would TOTALLY recommend Mr. Lee to anyone looking for an hvac instructor. He would not disappoint you. Thank you so much Mr. Lee for being an amazing instructor/ friend in my life. Continue to do what you do best.
Worst school to attend. Lack of communication from all departments, when you need something they will make it seem like is your fault when they are not doing their job, the job they get paid to do. They don't advise you throughout your courses, meaning that if you don't have the correct information you either fall behind or you don't get your money to pay them, when it could be as easy as sending emails as reminders of things you are required to do every fricking semester specially if you are a new student, more specially if your system says that a student has not completed this or that. When you call, 9 out 10 times they don't answer and when they do they transfer the call to someone that doesn't answer. Savannah campus at night is very dangerous, there is no police doing rounds ever. Classrooms lack of equipments, the expensive kits are not enough and you have to buy extra out of pocket. Nail tech program doesn't have equipment to take clients and you have to use your own products for the cheap price the school has in place. You will encounter teachers that want to help but unfortunately the people running everything else are making it very hard.
Honestly, the professors are the best! But the other staff makes it miserable to go here. The registrar office, the bookstore, and the financial aid are not helpful at all. I’ve been going to the school since 2017 and it’s been nothing but trouble with this school and both liberty and Savannah campus. Honestly, just go to another school. It’s not worth the hassle. No one is helpful at all.
I agree with most people that the SOME staff in the front office are rather lazy and are hard to get an answer from, but a lot of the staff is very helpful and you can tell they care about their job immensely. When I got my GED I ran into a few roadblocks regarding paperwork issues, but in my overall experience the staff was relatively quick to respond with answers. I now go to college here as a Computer Support student and I haven’t had any trouble ever since. Many of the teachers (at least in my case) are well educated and caring towards their students.
In conclusion:
I think the school itself deserves a 4/5, but the staff in the front office deserves a 3/5. There are a FEW people within that office that absolutely suck and should be fired.. but the majority of the staff is wonderful.
Giving 5 stars to the INSTRUCTORS at this school! They have literally been the best & only good thing during my Savannah Tech journey. Just finished up the Surgical Technology program & wouldn't change it for the world. My instructors love what they do & actually care about their students. They deserve the world!!!!!
Administration & financial aid need to get it together!
Was traveling through and had the privilege of working out with a fun and talented group. The online sign up was super easy, was able to sign my waiver and reserve a class in a jiff. The gym was conveniently located and a quick walk from my hotel. T
I love the community and teachers at Savannah Power Yoga! Also the NEW LOCATION in Wilmington is GORGEOUS. They have thought of everything to have a clean, beautiful aesthetic with a spacious feel. When Iâm visiting Charleston itâs my hOMe studio
