Super awesome park, has a playground with both old & new equipment, well maintained, painted in primary colors, looks like it's super happy & fun. Two sets of bathrooms, clean, smells like they were hosed down with bleach cleanser, which is a good thing, none of that rampant Southern Black Mold. Splash Pad has a picnic shelter with a soda machine, sink, 2 BBQ grills, painted tables, electric plug in outlets to charge up your phone. Two new tennis courts. Oak Trees, benches, picnics throughout the park. Super nice baseball park at the other end, bleachers, concession stand, batting cage, tables, the works. Portable Toilets as well for game days. Free Parking, one large lot, can hold 20 cars, with a smaller lot Handicapped Disabled Parking close to the baseball area & bathrooms. Great for kids, pet friendly, Dogs allowed. I was here with my dog. Clean park, no litter, safe, no creepy weirdos hanging out by the playground, no homeless or vagrancy. No one was there that morning but my dog & I. Good place to get out, stretch your legs if traveling. FYI, the City Cemetery is directly next to the park just beyond the baseball park, it is not gated. Some people are afraid of things like that, but it is pretty common in The South for cemeteries to be near parks in these smaller towns & cities.
Beautiful, cozy park. The splash pad is great for kiddos. The pavilion is the perfect size for parties and there are plenty of other picnic tables available.
I was there for a Birthday party at the splash pad area. The area is nice but I noticed the water had a bad smell to it at the splash pad. My granddaughters hair even smelled really bad,I'm not sure what it was but maybe someone can check it out. Overall we had a good time
I've been coming to this park for over 15 years . I loved it when I was younger . Now I get to bring my kids to here to play , makes my heart smile. We love the Splash Pad that is open in the summer time ! There's always smiles when we are headed to the Satsuma Playground.🙂
My grandparents are buried at the cemetery behind the park. So not only can I take my kids to play I get to visit my grandparents grave.
Great park! The have some nice newer equipment! There are places for the smaller kids and the bigger kids to play. Plus the kids loved the splash pad. It smelled a little like chlorine, but that just reassured me of the cleanliness. They have some nice covered pavilions with picnic tables and fans for parties.
Came to Alabama with my husband on a work trip & luckily there was a park less then 5 minutes down the road from the hotel. Clean, stuff for all age groups. My toddler had a blast!
Haven't been since it was updated. Enjoyed it very much
Go see the park in Satsuma. All the tables and equipment has been cleaned and or painted. Complements to the soon to be Eagle Scout's project. This will be a great complement for the Splash Pad opening for 2018
Teachers had a work day so I stopped in with the wife for the first time. Food was absolutely fabulous. Definitely want to try the burger because it looked fantastic. The bacon, lettuce and green fried tomatoes was wonderful.
