Regardless of what the total review rating is, this place is as authentic as Filipino eatery experience is. Food and ambiance is spot on. Serving is good and price is cheaper than most. If you’re looking for a posh or fusion style sit in place, then you may need to go elsewhere. Every time I eat here, it reminds me of home. Packed place and variety of food ready to serve fast.

This is an authentic Filipino restaurant that serves food in cafeteria style. Meaning they have certain foods prepared and you pick from what’s available. I came for their Sisig - which I heard was good - but they had ran out for the day. I ended up with two pork dishes - Liempo and Lechon kawali. Both were good and fairly priced. The food feels like what I eat at extended family dinners - good, but not quite the extra pop that you expect from a restaurant. Don’t get me wrong - it’s good and if you want authentic Filipino food quickly - this should be on you short list. The dining area is small but it seems most people are ordering takeout. A group of 4 to 6 people should be ok - provided there is not another larger group. Overall it feels like an extension of a family home that has been converted into a restaurant. I liked it.

Found this place through Google Map reviews. It is a very authentic place. Inside there are several tables. There are a varieties of sweets, dishes, fish, and Philippines street food. I got several items and they all tasted yummy.

Filipino food is acceptable but not something to rave about especially if you tried other Filipino stores. The taste of the food is inconsistent. Sometimes they taste good sometimes not. The staff needs to be more customer friendly especially the "healthy" woman with glasses.

This is the BEST Filipino restaurant in Chicago area. All of the food here are good and delicious. Nothing compares to this restaurant. It’s probably the best Filipino restaurant in whole IL. If you want authentic and full of flavor this is the right Filipino restaurant for you. They got the best Dinuguan here and halo halo

Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Classic Filipino restaurant serving up delicious Filipino food options at a price competitive to nearby locations. Recently came on a Saturday around noon and per usual, a ton of their dining tables were taken up with catering trays/to-go orders. Would recommend they get better aluminum foil trays as the many tray orders we had were very flimsy with some oil/sauce seeping through and overflowing.

Update, after 4 years, decided to try it again and glad I did. Changed my 4 stars to 5 stars. They have updated the interior of the place, new lights, clean white paint, better table and chairs. The best part of it all is the food. The flavors are delicious, ample amount of selection and I got to say, the grilled pork chop was amazing. I got the rice combo with 2 entrees and a coke for less than $10. ±+++++++++++++++++++++++ Parking is crowded most of the time. Good food... good Filipino desserts.... a little bit on the lower end compared to other Filipino hangout place but never the less... a good place to eat with authentic Filipino cooking.

The customer service is terrible. I thought it was because I'm a mixed Filipina. Untrue. Staff and owner are very rude to Everyone. Food is so so and the atmosphere is unwelcoming. I have been there twice with the same bad experience. Each visit left a bad taste in my mouth; not from the food but from the service. Even though Sariling Ativan is 1/2 mile from home........I will not be returning
