I love the new playground! The park is wonderful except the large field is filled with dog feces. Although signs around the field prohibit dogs, dog owners ignore the signs. The park would be enjoyable if the City created an enclosed dog area along the long sides of the park.
Nice Swing sets and play grounds for children of different age. Takes up an entire NYC Blocks. Grass lawn ,Trees and shrubbery, landscaped , quiet, bathrooms and more. Recommended for all ages.
Took my elderly mom-in-law for a Thursday stroll around noon. It was very relaxing. We listened to birds, saw some squirrels and watched parents have a good time with their kids. The groundskeeper must have just cleaned. The park looked inviting.
9 visits out of 10 are a great experience! That 10th time, you're going to look up from quietly reading to witness someone sit on the bench next to you, pull down their pants, and empty their entire body through the slats.
The park is about 3.2 acres in saize. There is an area in the center that has 5 tables to sit 4 people each. Each table has a chest board embedded on top. After i finished eating, a family of people came by to do a BBQ graduation party there. 20 people can sit comfortably there. All you see is mostly families. People walking theie dogs, riding the bikes. There were kids on mini scooter. It has been tough during this pandemic of 2020. There was a little girl, she must have been about 6 years old, on her scooter saaying to her friend. "This is the best day ever". This should remind us how important these parks are to the inner city. There plenty of benches and almost all of them had someone sitting, reading or dozing off. The path which encircles the park on the inside has plenty of room for soneone to ride their bike while walking with 2 or 3 other people next to them. A few people had their Bluetooth speakers playing music. They were not playing too loud. The day was peaceful and tranquil. Another group of people came towards the North entrance and started another BBQ. The North entrance also faces the Saratoga Village NYC housing. It was truly a nice day in the park.
So good park, it's a good place to take the kids and just relax and get some sun.
Its very small, but it's pretty. Enough for a casual walk. Plenty of space to walk your doggo and play. Also there is a kids playground in there. Lots of benches and friendly people of all races. Public restrooms are also available, but im not sure when, (if) they're open.
Not an official dog park but has been created into a very well known dog mom and dad meet up where everyone lets their dogs off the leash to play in the center grass area...you just cant miss it. While the dogs play many dog parents are there exchanging advice its really neat. One thing that would be nice is if they closed in a small area for dogs and it doesnt even have to be the center it could be any where. Oh and there is a new pet shop called Whos Your Doggy right across the street from the park...great way to reward and end the day with your dog.
Breathtaking views of the city. It wasn't too crowded but it was a weekday. I suggest a light lunch in the parc or on the benches along the river to take in the amazing view !
This place is such a hidden gem at night, I accidentally came here after dinner and went for a jog. The view to manhattan was superb and the houses along the river are stunning. Worth a visit
My visit to Prospect Park in Brooklyn was an enchanting experience, a true testament to the beauty of nature amidst urban surroundings. This vast park, a gem in the heart of the city, is a haven for those seeking a peaceful retreat or an active day o
Very pretty. Cooler. Beautiful long walks. Places to have picnics. Ballfields. Basketball courts. Parks for kids. Runs from the 69th st pier to 4th Avenue and shore road.
An amazing view with lush hills and a scenery of sunset parks many factories and homes, it may not seem like much but this park is.an escape from all the noise and congestion.
Attended a Spike Lee event here last week and totally enjoyed myself in the park. Grassy areas are nicely manicured . This park is great for families, so bring your blanket and have a picnic. Be sure to clean up after yourself. There is lots to do h
