Sarasota Airport, though characterized by its compact size and aged infrastructure, offers a streamlined and uncomplicated travel experience. The limited number of bag drops contributes to the ease of luggage retrieval. Notably advantageous is its direct flight connectivity from New York, eliminating the necessity for connecting flights. While acknowledging these conveniences, potential enhancements through modernization would undoubtedly elevate the overall airport experience. The succinct security lines, coupled with TSA approval, ensure a seamless process at Sarasota Airport. However, a beneficial improvement would be proactive notifications from airlines or the airport, indicating the necessity of arriving 40 minutes before boarding for checked bags. My experience, arriving 30 minutes before, resulted in a rescheduled flight, though the staff's assistance in finding the next available option was greatly appreciated.

Very old hotel but I would stay there again the bed I’d comfortable and the sheets and room were clean. There’s a breakfast package which is the same price without the package. The balcony view is gorgeous which you will share with the room next to yours if you don’t mind that. The complimentary water is a nice touch. The staffs are very friendly. There’s also a shuttle to take you to and from the restaurants 5 minutes away from the hotel. There’s also umbrellas and chairs set up for you on the beach 🏝️ Can’t wait to visit again.

This airport is small but it is still an international airport. I went through TSA within 10 minutes. They have a huge fountain behind the elevator. I love the ambiance and everything being within close proximity. I needed wheelchair assistance and Southwest was very accommodating in Sarasota airport. I landed here coming from Atlanta. The most hectic airport in the world. I was greeted by a nice young lady as soon as I stepped off the plane. I was shocked that when we finally left the ramp and entered the gate area it was practically empty. She wheeled me through the airport pretty quickly and we had a nice conversation about Sarasota and Bradenton. The attendent took me in the elevator with no mishaps down to baggage claims and was nice enough to get my bag for me off the conveyor belt. My return to Atlanta had hiccups. There was a ground stop due to weather. We were supposed to leave at 6pm. We didn't leave until almost 9:30pm. I understand things happen out for your control but it would help if you communicate what is going on. The crew was nice and accommodating but I don't think they knew what was going to happen. We had to de-plane. That took forever. They let me sit there for awhile but an attendant wheeled me off and wheeled me back on when it was time. I would gladly return to this airport despite the unexpected layover.

It's a very easy no hassle airport. Checkpoints and security were all professional and efficient. There were a decent amount of places to eat at. Finding a place to charge a cell phone was tricky. They could definitely use more

I love this airport and give it 5 stars for its size, nothing better than flying in, or out of a small airport like SRQ, never a wait at security and you're literally at your gate within 10 minutes, or getting your ride within the same. Food options are limited, there are 2 bars I believe, and they're small, plus a Jimmy John's (very limited seating) and while I like JJs when in a rush, I'd prefer to see something like a Jersey Mike's that offers more options. SRQ has both short and long term parking ($16/$24 per day respectively) I've not used that, however if you do need to park, I parked at the Hilton Garden Inn (you can book this online for $7 or so per day through "OnAirParking") and they offer a shuttle (from 7AM-11PM only) it worked nicely for me. Also, tip: Dewar's (before security) serves tasty drinks and food food at fair prices (especially for being at the airport) AND the service is (usually) great and fast, this is usually my stop since I know I can get through TSA swiftly. There is TSA pre check, but no clear, not that you really need either here, safe travels‼️✌🏽 Another tip: if you're flying out and maybe need to return a rental, you can stop at wawa since you likely need to gas up AND pick up any of their hot/ cold sandwiches or bowls to go, if in a rush my personal favorite option, you can even order through the app and they'll bring it to your car (no I don't work for wawa, nor get paid for this, but I'm keeping it real 😉) Photos are from Dewar's

Small and friendly airport! Super easy to navigate with clean bathrooms. This airport has some of the most amiable TSA Agents I've ever seen and helpful airline customer service employees. The waterfall/water feature makes the entire airport smell wonderful, and I loved seeing the Mote Marine Laboratory's saltwater aquarium too. Plus, their manatee sculpture and tribute to Snooty was informative and touching.

It is a Small airport, very easy to navigate and find the gates. Not many eating options though. Airport is clean and beautifully designed with a waterfall. Security check was very quick. Long queues at Starbucks.

Best airport ever. It’s not big and you don’t have to walk for ever to get to your gate. Rental cars are right outside the door which is perfect. If you are staying in the area of the airport I would recommend flying here. Even if it costs a bit more.
