Luxurious Newport vacation spot at this amazing Victorian B&B with water views from the room, and lovely owners and house manager who truly understand great hospitality! Breakfast was incredible too. Will definitely return for another visit soon. Fabulous!
This is my second timeI have stayed at the Sarah Kendall House. Bryan,Fran and Mary are lovely and helpful. The most beautiful breakfast table and luscious food. Wonderful for a girls weekend, mother daughter weekend. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful garden. the attention to detail is unmatched! Such a an easy walk to town. This is a Victorian Showplace! The location is an easy town, shops and restaurants. parking is a premium here. A free trollley provides rtansportation to the Gilded Age mansions. A trip to remember. My adult daughter said I had found a gem!
Loved staying here! The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The ambience of the B&B is wonderful, the rooms were beautiful and the breakfast was the icing on the cake. Every morning there was a spread of fruits, juices, coffee, pastries, bagels and then your choice of eggs, pancakes or french toast. The location is perfect. Far enough away from downtown (away from noise) but close and easy enough to walk to. I plan on staying here again!!!
Loved everything about this charming B&b! Welcoming host, amazing interior, gorgeous gardens. Breakfast was incredible each morning! The location was perfect—quiet area, beautiful water views, walkable to downtown. Can’t wait to go back someday!
Quintessential New England B&B a short walk from Thames St and downtown Newport. The owners welcomed us warmly and made certain we had what we needed to enjoy the Inn and area.|Clean and comfortable room filled with antiques and a four-post bed. Breakfast included fresh fruit-seemingly picked that morning, followed by pancakes one morning and scrambled eggs and ham the next.|We would definitely stay here again.|
It was amazing. It was very clean. It had a beautiful flower garden with seating, but the wonderful front porch with a view of water - wow! They provided a fantastic breakfast. Our room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. Will definitely return.
-Located in the millionaires Point district a few blocks from town... Where you'll find the free trolley. Nice and quiet neighborhood area.
-We stayed in the queen bedded Getaway room. This is Room #1 of 3 on the top floor of the rear/Side units
-There are 3 sets of winding, wooden 1/2 stair flights that are very narrow and creaky, hard to haul luggage. There are a total of 43 steps. They do kindly have a seating area on the 2nd landing if you need a break.
-There is a side lot in front of the owners adjacent home with about 3 parking spots
-They perform daily housekeeping with 2 bottles of water supplied.
-Mary, cooks breakfasts each morning (scrambled eggs or French toast/pancakes/waffles) between 8-930am and she performs the room housekeeping as well.
-Room has no ceiling fan, window a/c is loud and doesn't really cool that well on humid days unless on high; no windows to open in bedroom, but one opens in bathroom
-They have all the conveniences included for you ....a nice size frig/freezer in a big closet. Along with a beach bag, 2 towels, AND sunscreen! And basic toiletries.
-The beautiful gas fireplace would be so wonderful to use on a cold winter day/night.
-There's a Keurig coffee maker in the entryway with homemade cookies... And there's brandy on the welcome table if you'd chose to partake.
Beautiful views of the bay from the tower floor of nearby Goat Island, and Storer Park
Victorian splendor, exceptional hospitality, phenomenal history, unobstructed bay view, close to downtown, and great breakfast spread. First time in Newport and couldn't be happier. We would recommend this B&B as an ideal choice for a quiet stay.
Perfect place to stay in Newport. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Wes who was welcoming and informative about the Lodge and surrounding area. The bed was comfortable and the room was charming. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee, teas, and a v
Nicely crafted bracelets, love the fit and the clasp they use. Very durable. And love the designs! They were helpful and held a specific color and size for me when the new shipment came in. Conveniently on the last day of my trip! I did overhear a gi
This bed and breakfast is an absolute must stay in Newport. It's adorable, clean, and cozy. Walking distance to the beach and the bars, but far enough that you can sleep soundly. Serena, the inn keeper is the sweetest person you'll ever meet. She tru
