We spent the long Labor Day weekend at the Santa Barbara Inn for my daughter’s wedding. She was married in Santa Barbara, not at the hotel, but everyone stayed there. The staff and facility were fantastic. The rooms are a little too traditional for my taste, but they are extremely comfortable and spacious. The beds were great. They have a mini fridge and lots of storage. We were constantly bringing boxes and clothing in and out of the hotel and the valet staff was tremendous. Also a shout out to Ruth at the front desk who could not be more accommodating and kind. She is a gem! As if that wasn’t enough, the hotel has an excellent restaurant and it sits right across from the beach. It’s also a very pleasant 1 mile walk to the more commercial areas. I highly recommend the Santa Barbara Inn for a relaxing homebase while in town.

The hotel is first class with up-to-date, beautiful rooms and 5 star amenities. The location is perfect - ocean front. The attached restaurant is nice & the food is "chef quality" (unique), although the management and service is not. We had to ask for a server more than once (were there 4 days) and also to be seated. There was a lack of staff and training. Waited 20 minutes for a server for breakfast - she was making coffee? Others got up and left. The housekeeping staff is excellent, but the front desk staff also needs customer service training, how to check guests in and out, and also how to properly charge credit cards when checking folks out. Our 3 rooms were charged incorrectly. Overall, we would stay here again, however, I would hope that staff is properly trained soon. Then I would give it a 5 star rating. It is an expensive hotel so guests expect properly trained staff.

What a lovely experience we enjoyed at this hotel across the street from the beach! Perfect location. Amazing staff. Stellar rooms with a great view and classic design/decor. A MUST VISIT!!! Walking distance to stellar wine tastings in the funk zone! ❤️❤️

Really enjoyed our stay, exceeded all ecxpectations! The valet and front desk staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. The hotel has a classy but relaxed feel. The restaurant and pool bar are impressive and breakfast was great! Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional and provided excellent service. Great location and really good value. Definitely our go to hotel in Santa Barbara, thanks!

Santa Barbara Inn was a wonderful retreat in a perfect location and was beautifully decorated! Every single one of the staff was so helpful and always had a big smile on their faces. I stayed in a king room with an ocean view balcony overlooking the pool and the bed was very comfortable. Even before I arrived, I received text communication with a real person who kept checking in to make sure I was satisfied and didn’t have any needs. I will definitely be staying at the Santa Barbara Inn again! Shout out to Ruth for the extra love she adds to the complimentary AM coffee!

Rarely have I encountered a hotel more focused on their rules than hospitality. I received daily texts offering help and suggestions but then when I actually called the hotel the day before my arrival asking for a suggestion of a salon to get a blow out the day of the wedding I was told no the hotel does not make such suggestions ||I arrived early and was willing to downgrade my room at the same price to get in if a room was available since I am here for a wedding and the standard check in would have meant hurrying to get ready. I was told that is against the rules. I then asked if I could go ahead and give my credit card etc so that as soon as a room was ready I could scoot in. No that is against the rules. Could I have the WiFi password while I sat and waited for a room? No that is against the rules also. So I sat (im)patiently while every single person who came in the door was given a room in front of me. ||I don’t know what this “luxury”hotel is about but it is not customer service. You will receive a daily annoying text that offers customer service but any request you actually make is denied The rooms are okay. Clean. Would I pay $600+ again per night to stay here? Probably not. The rooms are nicer than your standard Marriott Courtyard or Hampton Inn but the service level is way below them.

Ahh, Santa Barbara. What an amazing location on the California Coast! This hotel is perfect...stay, wander and come back, eat here, workout in the new fitness center adjacent to the pool...I could go on and on. The food is great, The drinks are great and the rooms are SPOTLESS! Our room had 160 degree views of the waterfront and the the weather is always nice. The price might knee jerk you but you can see the quality. Valet is $27 and necessary. Enjoy!

I absolutely adore this place. The staff are all happy to be there and are eager to welcome and assist. I was traveling alone and felt very safe. The Convivo Restaurant is incredible, no matter what you order. Don't miss the lattes! The view of the beach from their patio is good vibes, Santa Barbara style. You can walk right across the street for your nightly beach walk. The room was extremely clean and very quiet and comfortable. I've tried seven other hotels since my son started school in SB, but this one has my heart. I won't stay anywhere else going forward.
