I moved to Port St. Lucie about a year ago and I've been visiting parks where I could walk my dog. There are dog parks, parks with boat ramps, picnic parks, etc. Today was the first time I visited Sandhill Crane Park. I'm 62 years old and I've never seen a park as beautiful and clean... actually immaculate, as this park. It's got baseball fields, beach volleyball, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I walked around it for quite a while this evening. The grass is mowed neatly, the bushes are all trimmed, the fields are groomed. Really... I've never seen anything like it. I don't know who takes care of this park. But, I do know that it's his/her passion. Not a single piece of trash. Nothing out of place. All of the amenities you need just to enjoy yourself. Amazing. Kudos to the keepers and the folks who run the organization behind this facility. This place could be a model for all parks across the country.
I love the walking trails and being able to view the eagle's nest close by.
This park offers volleyball, softball, and racquetball and has a bald eagle nest next door. It is a nice place for a picnic.
This is a very clean Park right off of Walton Road near The savannas Preserve State Park. There is a nice baseball field and a playground for the children with a large Pavilion area is covered. The Pavilion area has benches and men's and ladies rooms that are very clean inside. The play area is really unique with climbing things that the children will find unique and challenging. There is also a small field area where you could set up a play area for children to play soccer or football horseshoes. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas which I really like that for the adults and especially the children's sake. There's cameras everywhere monitoring the parking lot, Pavilion so it looks like there was some really good security around here as well.
Venturing for a new local park we passed this one and decided to take a look. We pullin in from PGA and saw the road veering left was blocked off. We went up the overlook which had amazing views and hiked down the side canal alongside the jetskiers a few miles. It was a beautiful park. Greeting us at the enterance were two Sandhill Crane! Cant wait to see the other parts of the park next time we go. Here are some pictures.
The initial draws were the Sandhill cranes, glossy ibises, limpkins, and roseate spoonbill easily seen feeding along the canal by the park entry. Lots of other birds were present, but what kept me coming back day after day was the nice view of the nesting bald eagles in a tree in adjacent Savannas Prairie Preserve. Gorgeous! Other folks obviously enjoying the ball fields and other amenities.
I play men's softball here, good for 3-field games at a time. Watch out for foul balls though, many windows I've broken over the year's (sorry).
We really like this park. It has volleyball courts, baseball courts, racket ball courts, a kid section, and now they added a handball court! Oh yeah!! The only thing that os missing is a running track.

My family and I have been to this park a couple of times, but the playground area just got redone and it is amazing! They put in new soft grass carpet that feels great to walk and run on. They also put in a bunch of new equipment and shade sails. It
Itâs a great park. The playground is huge and has very modern equipment (and a 3-story tower). There are separate areas for toddlers/small kids. They have a space you can rent for parties.
I highly recommend this dog park especially because they have three separate areas for small, medium and large dogs and provide drinking bowls and a water fountain.
This was our 100 LB puppyâs first visit to a dog park and it was a good experience.
We bring our dog for a walk and our fishing poles for the small fish we catch.
The open field canal side is great to run our dog fetching a ball when it is not crowded. The trails to the northern side give us and our dog a good long walk
The fountains at Tradition are perfect for little ones. Jets aren't too strong! There is one strong one in the middle, but most little ones seemed to avoid it, except for our daredevil daughter, haha. They have tables and chairs, restrooms, and clean
Great playground for all ages. Thereâs plenty of shade so you donât sweat your rear end off, a restroom, a water, fountain, and a covered picnic area. We love coming here.
Good park, lots of shade! Plenty of benches. The bathrooms are ok. Kids love the big slide. Gotta be careful with little kids and the tallest platform, my 4 year old fell, luckily didn't get hurt but it's a high fall!
