The food was Mama's down south cooking chicken and dumplings. It was very good. The service was a little slow for the initial service but after that was fantastic. If your looking for down home cooking this is the place to go.
Small, neat, family owned diner. I ate the lunch and loved it. The shrimp poboy was crunchy, and good. The size is not too big, rather a decent one. I replaced the side fries with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were comforting and wholesome. I ordered the corn bread with it as an additional side. The buttermilk cornbread was the best, baked to the perfection. My friend ate the liver and onion and he said that he liked it as well. My another friend ate the blackened catfish served with dirty rice and fries. The fries were very mediocre, made from the frozen, and he didn’t like it. Overall the food was mostly fresh, and pretty decent. I will go back again. Visited them many times after, they are consistent with the quality and service.
The Sandbar Grille is one of the best places I've been to in a while. Loved the food and their sweet tea was the bomb.
This is my grandparents restaurant it is amazing I love coming and working there and if you ever come definitely try the chicken and dumplings that's my favorite and if they have it get the steak, mushrooms, and a salad I use to get it every time I went.
Great restaurant. Small town atmosphere with friendly service. Enjoyed the white beans. Loved the fried mushrooms.
My compliments to the chef! Try the fried green tomatoes, they are the bomb! Or, any daily lunch special. Best reuben sandwich ever, and ive sampled them everywhere. Attentive and friendly wait staff.... update... went back last week and if they ever have that fish on rice special ... GET IT!
My mom and I eat here for a quick bite just about every week. The couple that runs the place is very attentive. The catfish etouffee is really good. We usually get whatever the special is. Beans are amazing. We are glad there is a nice sit down restaurant in Osceola with home cooked food!
We give it 5 stars. Our waitress was good. Our food order arrived fairly quickly. Prices were average for a small town "mom and pop" diner. Coffee was excellent. Restaurant and restrooms were extremely clean. And the grilled vegetable medley is delicious. This place is worth driving a few miles off the highway.
