Great food, huge portions, great service. Only negative was the number of flies bothering us while we were trying to eat.
My waitress was very friendly and helpful, and I've been here before with excellent service. My issue the one day was what appeared to be pubic hair in my hash browns, and also in the eggs of someone else with me. She was so disgusted she threw up in the bathroom, and I didn't eat almost any of my hashbrowns.
I pulled up and noticed the building is not kept up to date. I stepped inside and it smelled bad and it looks like a place from the 70's. So I walked out. I don't want to risk getting food poisoning. If the owner doesn't care for the upkeep of his building. How is the upkeep of the kitchen?
Fantastic burgers, and a blessed staff. Great restaurant!
Great little hometown restaurant with fast service & very inexpensive food! Serves breakfast all day but has other items as well. Very good homemade pie!
Nice little place, good, fresh homemade food, hope to be back again.
1st of all the food was out of this world, real homemade to order goodness. However, depending on your expectations for a diner, might not be fit for everyone. Judging from the name and some of the pictures, I thought it was going to be on the water, it is not. We drove past it once and nearly didn't stop because of the looks of the building...it's an old school diner. Very limited seating, an obviously regular customer with a fly swatter at his table, numerous (like oddly excessive) amounts of family photos on the walls yet none of the people in the pictures were there to be seen, attitude of waitress seemed to be determined by whether you were there often but wasn't terrible. Single bathroom was...usable, I'll leave it at that. So, overall if you just like good old fashioned diner cooking, have time to wait, and aren't supremely picky about every aspect of your dining experience....give it a try! The food really did make everything else worth it! Extensive menu also.
Passed through this small town and wanted to get something to eat so I stopped here. It's a very small restaurant and it definitely has that small town charm. The people working there were nice and friendly, and the menu was simple enough. Ended up getting the special of the day and it was really good. Had some pie for dessert as well and it was extremely tasty while not being overly sweet like some pies can be. Overall, it was a great place and the only thing keeping me from giving this place 5 stars was that the home fries weren't really seasoned much and could do well with either some seasoning or some sour cream. Regardless, it's a great little restaurant and I'd come back again.
Sharon was a great host and had outstanding parfait and pancakes for breakfast! The room was very spacious and had a great new years weekend trip! Very beautiful decorations from Panama and a great view out our window over the Mississippi River! Than
We went out there for the morning just to check it out and watch the birds. There were egrets and pelicans everywhere which was very cool. We liked the campground a lot and will definitely go back to camp.
