Super fun bar with island feels. Great live music F and S and Sun 2-5. NFL ticket and plenty of cold beers and cool friendly people and staff.
Always great! My husband loves to get the oysters. They were large and he really enjoyed them. I enjoy the peel-and-eat shrimp. Also large and very flavorful. My friend ordered French fries, and it was a very good sized basket, enough for 3 to share, and they were large and perfectly fried - not greasy! Totally love Sand Bar!
We got the fish and chips. Bartender was very friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. They are very dog friendly.
The Sand Bar was such a cute place to grab lunch. This was our first visit and it did not disappoint. The menu was limited as it is not a full restaurant but a food truck and bar. We ordered the chili (the days special) and fries, Buffalo Chicken flat bread and tornadoes. Everything was DELICIOUS and served nice and hot. We just had sodas so can’t speak to the drinks but everyone else seemed to be enjoying their beer selection.
You seat yourself. Menus are at the bar, specials for the day are on the back wall. You order at the bar and they bring you food to you.
If you are looking for a light lunch and drink or a place to watch the game… this place would hit the mark.
We will be back the next time we visit Hiawasee.
Never disappointed. Great drinks, staff is amazing, and the food is so good! Best cheesesteak I've had in a long time, the portion is huge! We've also tried the southwest tornados, coconut shrimp, and fish and chips and it's all delicious. Always feel welcomed there.
Saw this place while scoping the area, thought it'd be good for a drink or two. HOLY BEACH SAND, BATMAN!! This place is great! Best service, cool vibes, cornhole and real beach sand to dig your toes into. Good menu that has something for everyone.
Great views..bartender was fabulous, the wings were outstanding
Bartenders and staff are very friendly. Good & Fun place for Music and Corn hole. You wouldn't expect a beach place in the mountains of Georgia overlooking the river.

So you want 5 star food without the pretentious atmosphere? This place has got you covered. I've never been to a restaurant with a more laid back vibe. The lighting, the music, and the staff were all warm and inviting. The food was out of this world.
Lunch time for three! Order at the counter and they bring to you. Can dine indoors or out on covered porch. Indoor dining area is tight but definitely fits a good BBQ dining spot along with decor. Barely a wait for entrees. Pulled pork sandwiche
Incredible views from the top. The first time I went there was a cloud cover below the top, covering the lakeâ¦it was quite a sight to see.
You can drive all the way up to the top, but there is limited parking up there. Thereâs a secondary lot a
One of my favorite places to visit, itâs the highest pick of Georgia.
Brasstown Bald provides spectacular 360 degree view of the mountains. The best time is to go during fall peak. Drive to visitor center & deck is simply mesmerizing.

Late lunch for five adults. Breakfast ends at 2 pm. We got there after two. No wait for seating. Courteous greeting and our order was promptly taken. Side salads were fresh. Onion rings were fantastic and done right. All the entrees were hot and
We had a party of five for lunch. Promptly sat at a table and our server was over quickly for drink orders and then appetizer orders. We tried the smothered pork cheese fries and the fried green tomatoes- very good, and our server brought spicy ranc
