Today's hike at San Tan Regional Park was truly memorable. The park offers a wonderful combination of natural beauty and accessible trails for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're into hiking, biking, or horseback riding, this place has something for everyone. I appreciated being able to bring my leashed canine companion along with me on the adventure as well. It's definitely a must-visit destination for anyone who wants to soak up some Arizona sunshine and enjoy the great outdoors!

Great trails for all skill levels. Pay attention to the maps as trails very in length and difficulty. I think it was $7 per carload for entry. Facilities were clean and updated. Really nice park and trails!

I decided to do a 50k for my 50th and San tan trails seemed to be the place to do it. Aaaand doing a 50k I saw the ENTIRE park and feel qualified to review it. First. It's beautiful, go for sunrise, highly worth it. Trails are wide and pretty maintained which is good because besides the race people there was a fair amount of people, bikes and horses. Everyone was super polite. Now what they don't tell you in the brochures. The rocks. It is very rocky, pointy rocks and riverbed rocks and desert rocks, basically ALL the rocks. And very loose rocks on incline and declines. So bring GOOD and comfortable hiking shoes and your balance. But HIGHLY recommend.

This is my go to park when I want to hike close to home. If you don't have the yearly pass, then a daily fee is required. The park consists of several different trails ranging in length and difficulty. I personally consider all of the trails to be in the easy to moderate range.....there's nothing extremely difficult. Several trails are fairly short and I combine them with other trails. My favorite loop to do is San Tan to Stargazer to Moonlight to San Tan to Goldmine. I've run into all kinds of wildlife on my hikes....coyotes, snakes, lizards, roadrunners, javelina, scorpions, tarantulas, gila monsters and more. There are bathrooms and a small visitors center at the main entrance to the park.

fun rolling green MTB trails with gradual uphill. Also has blue and black runs. Fee to enter. Mountain biking at sunset was beautiful.

Santan Mountain Regional Park offers an exceptional hiking experience. The Goldmine Trail, in particular, was a delight this morning with its pristine surroundings. The park's cleanliness reflects their commitment to maintaining a beautiful environment. The camaraderie among fellow hikers enhanced the overall enjoyment of the trail. Highly recommend this park for a refreshing outdoor adventure!

Beautiful park with trails ranging from easy to challenging. Goldmine trail can be pretty steep in spots

This place is gorgeous! They did a great job of setting up a mix of flat and elevated trails. You can walk a short loop or go for a while. Parking is $7, but they offer season passes. Many dogs with respectful owners. Dogs are always on leashes and sensitive pups are pulled to the side to let you pass. There tend to be horses on the trails. Many respectful bicyclists. Everyone is nice and the views are gorgeous. Unfortunately, it appears that there are some developments happening near the park.

My kids love this park. Besides the playground they love to play in the sand volleyball court and the spacious fields offer plenty of room for running around. Plenty of shaded seating for parents to relax in too.
