San Ramon Marriott - Featured Reviews (1575)
Staying there for work. Liked the re-furnished room. No carpet is a plus.. lots of space and comfortable bedding. The payed attention to the profile and k got a feather free room. AC was adequate and there was a mini fridge. Next door is target and Whole Foods so had a place to put some waters and some fruit. Gym was well equipped but no yoga mats. ||The lobby is pretty minimal and check the exp dates on the stuff in the mini market. Found some of the stuff expired.. ||Staff was friendly and helpful.. not super pleased with Marriotts lately.. but this is a good one..
Whenever I visit my parents in Walnut Creek, I always stay at the beautifully renovated San Ramon Marriott. Not only are the rooms fresh, clean, airy, the hotel is magnificently surrounded by amazing tall redwood trees. When staying in a room, you look out and feel like you are surround by trees in a tree house, a fun and unique experience. The service is the best I have ever experienced in my over 40 years of worldwide travel. Felicie S. has provided me OUTSTANDING service for years - always responsive when I have to make changes to my reservation and very helpful planning special events. I wish all Marriott hotels and all BONVOY chains had such a friendly, professional, and helpful manager. A jewel in the BONVOY company!
I stayed at San Ramon Marriott often for work trips. The location is convenient and walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants. The staff was pleasant and attentive to its guests. Especially Felicie S always reaching out and make sure that the guests feel like home. Yes I do call this place Home away from home.
Very comfortable stay at the Marriott. Kenneth at the front desk was extremely helpful, approachable and friendly. He ensured that my stay was good. Offered some help when I wanted to book the cabana. He greeted everyone politely and worked with a smile. I observed he was very helpful to a lady with children who checked in. He offered them snacks. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job. My only concern here with Marriott is they don't offer easy wifi. The connection is free to marriott members. Wifi access should be easy, all guests should be able to sign in with ease.
This is a great hotel for the money. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. When we called the front and asked for a thermostat adjustment (oddly, you can't control it yourself), the service was prompt. The gym was also clean and well appointed. On-site parking was $14/day. The hotel restaurant was open late and the salads were good. The only negatives were extremely minor: the shelf in the shower was falling off the wall and the shampoo fixture in the shower actually fell off the wall during the night and woke us up. Everything else in the room was modern and in good condition. I would definitely stay here again.
Atrocious Marriott Ambassador benefits coupled with neglected engineering issues resulted in one of the worst stays in recent memory.
I spend 250+ nights annually in hotels and can’t think of the last time I was treated so poorly.
No hot water in the morning. Called front desk 3 times, no answer. Walked to front desk, nobody there. Inquired via the Marriott app and 20 minutes later I was told engineering was a route to my room, but never arrived. Washed my hair in the sink and promptly checked out. Nobody seemed to care.
AC system is circa 1989 and although the set point was 68, the coolest the room reached was 76 degrees. No sleep.
I could go on, but this property trajectory is trending unfavorably. I rarely leave 1 star reviews, but this property is a 1-star superstar. If you travel frequently, avoid this property.
Finally, Ellen in the bar and lounge was the only bright spot of my stay. Wonderful service and empathy. Wish this property could clone here; this location needs more folks like Ellen.
The San Ramon Marriott hotel has always accommodated our large group reservations with grace and kindness, but this year, reservation coordinator Felicie Soliman went above and beyond to meet our room needs and make our experience truly extraordinary. Ms. Soliman's efforts made a huge difference to my peace of mind, and I feel very lucky to have been able to work with her on this trip.
Typical Marriott hotel. Rooms are always clean, however I prefer the room with one king bed rather than 2 queens. With one king you get a sofa to sit on and a walk in shower. With the 2 queen beds there is a chair at the desk to sit at and a bathtub. Depends on what you're looking for when it comes to your stay.
