Excellent location, quiet and comfortable.
The rooms were clean and accommodating. The layout was perfect with a kitchenette dividing the sleeping areas, giving some privacy while in bed.
The bathroom was remodeled and very bright and modern. There were even fans waiting in the room. The full size fridge was also great for our family.
Lastly, the owners are very kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Amazing service! The owners were so helpful. The rooms were super big and had a lot of privacy due to the layout. Full size fridge, stove top, the best amenities. Felt like a mini apartment for my family and I. The building is older but came with lots of comfort, and cleanliness!! The stay was very safe, no crime in site. Walkable to food, convenience stores. This stay felt very nostalgic.
An older property, but many rooms remodeled. Rooms are LARGE, with two separate sleeping areas divided by a kitchenette with refrigerator, sink & microwave. GREAT location, walking distance to all historic down town shops, restaurants and waterfront. Owners live on site and are very responsive. Can't beat the price!
We made sure to take extra care of the room, were very gentle with everything even though half the stuff in our room didn’t work. They only gave us half of our deposit back because they insisted we smoked weed in our room and one of the towels was dirty. We will not be staying here again and will not recommend this place to anybody. Very run down and gross. Not to mention the lady at the front desk was completely rude with zero customer service skills.
This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! I had driven over 24 hours straight to make it here to catch the ferry for a new job and was absolutely exhausted and arrive in the early morning hours, the owner was so accommodating and made me feel so welcome. The price is beyond reasonable and the rooms are huge and the bed is beyond comfortable. The property is well cared for and pride is taken in providing good service, support this locally owned family business over large corporations! You will not regret it! I plan to stay here every time I have to come to town from the ferry!
Nice motel in the price. We stayed for one night. Everything was clean including the floor. The gas top didn't work but we anyways didn't have any use for that. The owners live in the motel and are helpful.
Couple of drawbacks - there was no place to hang clothes. Not even a single hook.
The bathroom was attached to the other room and it someone stayed in the first room they had to go all the way to the other room.
Wonderful motel. The current owners did a great job renovating and restoring the previous one to be nice and comfy.||The rooms match the photos perfectly - the rooms are like little apartments: two separate bedrooms, one bathroom and a small kitchen. Perfect for my family's needs. The walls are a little thin, but there is not much you can do about that without a complete rebuild of the building. When we stayed the other guests were quiet at night so the only thing we heard was water faintly moving through pipes. The fans that were in our rooms helped to mitigate this small amount of noise.||Finally, loved the beds! The mattresses were in great condition, and felt like newer memory foam that helped me get a good night's sleep.||All of this for such a fair price was a great deal. Would definitely stay here again.
I stayed there not too long ago with a friend. There was a man at the desk who was very nice, but the woman at the desk was rude. The room itself was very clean but they provide very little soap and other things in the bathroom. I left a towel outside the door because I thought they would pick it up (most hotels I have stayed at do, and I have worked in several so I assumed that was the case.) The woman banged on the door very loudly at 9 in the morning to yell at my friend who answered the door, and told him "Don't leave things out here, if the stain doesn't come out of this towel you will have to pay for it!" And then she took them anyway. There was Walmart hangers in the room, and very little coffee/creamer/soap/ towels. At one point, my friend accidentally locked the key in the room. When the woman let us in, she leaned into the room and looked around as if we were doing something wrong. And when we checked out, she told my friend that she "has to check the room" to make sure he could get his deposit back. I have never had anyone say anything like that in a hotel I have stayed at, and I will not be staying there again. I felt like I was walking on eggshells. It is not worth the cheap price.
