The Samuel Sewall Inn is open! I found my way to rent a room for a month. It has only been one day and I am totally in love with the owners, the property manager, the room and the installations. It's sort of an old mansion with much personality and bold décor. A must for anyone travelling, needing to transition in life or simply looking for a great location to stay around town. This place is only 15 minutes away from Downtown Boston (or just about). Can't say enough about it's charming hallways! It also is a very quiet space at night, good for a great night sleep. I feel home away from home. A must to consider! -- Thank you Luciana and team!
I love this Inn! It's pet friendly, which makes our decision to vacation in Boston much easier. Not having to leave our two dogs at a kennel while we travel is nice for us. The rooms are a nice size and the antique furniture in the rooms and around the Inn are beautiful. I hesitated writing a nice review in hopes of keeping this place our little secret, but it deserves all the attention it can get. Great place. Very clean and close the city but not on a very busy street. Always a nice visit!
Absolutely worth the five stars. I stayed two months for a very reasonable montly price of 1400$ (considering it's Boston). Luciana, Susan, Arlene and litterally everyone on the staff were very friendly and helpful. They even offered me a slightly bigger desk and chair, so that I can more effectively work from home when I had to. Having an en-suite bathroom, microwave and fridge was also a huge convenience and the location is great : 5-10 minutes on foot from multiple super markets, 1 minute walk from the subway, in a very quiet neighborhood but very close to coolidge corner with its many eating places and hangout spots. Overall great experience and it would be the first place I would check if I had to stay in Boston again.
An amazing place to stay! Loved the room and the sitting areas. The continental breakfast was perfect. Sitting and sipping coffee in the common rooms was just the perfect thing to walk up to after a wonderful nights sleep. Bathrooms were clean and beautiful. The room was unique and enjoyable. Very comfortable with the AC. It was just the perfect stay. Perfectly fit the New England Boston vibe. Loved it. Thank you! -Lydia
We visited boston for the first time and my sister accidentally booked a hotel on the wrong month. So we were desperate to find nearby hotels that would take us in since all hotels were fully booked. When we contacted this Inn, it was late at night and only 1 room available. We took it and this sweet and lovely lady named Nicky (not sure of the spelling) was just the best. She was so welcoming even though we were there at 11pm. She also set up an extra bed and got us extra towels. She was really nice and the Inn is lucky to have her. The room was big and so was the bathroom. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The beds were so soft. It felt like staying over at your grandma's house. Surprisingly, there was an elevator there. The breakfast was simple, checking inn and out is very quick and simple :) a bit pricey but you have quality service and accommodations in my opinion :)
This place was FANTASTIC! It's so charming and has a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, the staff was friendly, the bed was SO comfortable, and everything was clean and nicely decorated. There’s a nice porch outside where you can eat your breakfast! They also have coffee, tea, and snacks available all day which is great. Would absolutely recommend staying here. We were sad to leave!
This hotel exceeded expectations for value, location and more importantly cleanliness. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was quiet and we had no noise form other guests. There was always coffee downstairs, the breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly and accommodating - Especially Alejandro. We're not from Boston, but we hope to be back again soon.
On very short notice, I was traveling to Boston, one of my top 4 cities in the country, and needed to book accommodations. Honestly, I had only stayed in a B & B or s small Inn on two occasions. So, I wasn't confident about my choice.
I am a convert. From the moment I entered the front door, I felt like I was visiting an old friend. A welcoming, friendly and efficient staff met me and for the next five days, I enjoyed good old fashioned hospitality. Beautiful and clean rooms, two enclosed porches and lovely quiet rooms for reading, relaxing, etc. Since I was traveling alone, safety was a consideration. I felt totally safe during my stay.
A full breakfast was served each day in a sunny, lovely room with ample seating. Coffee and tea with homemade cookies and cakes available all day. A memorable and pleasurable visit.

Don't be like us and show up the week before Thanksgiving expecting to get a pie. There were also extending circumstances that affected their pie production. Regardless, we enjoyed their pastries and drinks, as well as their friendly service and woul
The Turkish dumplings were delicious! The dumplings alone taste great. The sauce and the oil give the dumplings a tangy taste which brings the entree together. The customer service was welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend!
