"Had an amazing time at Samuel Guy House! The rooms are super comfortable and full of character. The breakfasts are delicious, and the gardens are a perfect place to relax. Everyone here is so welcoming and friendly. Definitely a highlight of Natchitoches.

We went up to Natchitoches with friends for my birthday weekend. My husband and I stayed in the St. Maurice Room, our friends stayed in the Marco Plantation Room and Lands End Room. Three beautiful rooms, but we were able to view all of them and they all have their own charm, comfort and beauty. Susan the Innkeeper is definitely a "keeper"! She dotes on you and is extremely friendly, welcoming and one heck of a cook! We never went away hungry from breakfast and the refreshment room was stocked with lots of goodies. We had the pleasure of meeting the Owner and his Wife and Daughter, again... friendly and welcoming. If you stay here, you won't be disappointed and to be there as part of the Christmas celebration, the house was decorated to the nines! This is definitely a go back to BNB. Thank you for being there for us!
The house was so incredibly beautiful and clean. There are many, many fun collections all over the house to see. The rooms are comfortable with a private bathrooms for every room.
The innkeeper, Susan, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She is delightful and so helpful. Her breakfasts are delicious and fun.
The inn is located right next to the oldest cemetery in the Louisiana purchase. Very interesting.
The house is very impressive. Decorated for the holidays it is a treat for the senses. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Each room has its own Christmas tree, very festive. Breakfast was quite nice. A fun time to engage in conversation with fellow guests. Our issue was there seems to be closet space. Can't hang up anything, nor any drawers to unpack. There was a hook in the bathroom. No bathrobes are supplied. ||However, I would recommend it. Quite convenient for walking to town. Cemetery entrance is just off the front yard. Interesting to stroll thru with markers that date to the revolutionary war. We traveled there with friends for a two night stay. Took a home tour which was lovely as well as Trinity Episcopal church. A very friendly reception everywhere we went.
Met some friends in Natchitoches on Saturday and enjoyed a night at the Samuel Guy house. Excellent place to stay and catch up with friends. The front porch has a couple of swings, fans and nice chairs. The back porch is in-closed with big comfy chairs, and there is a covered area in the back gardens with nice chairs, lights and fans. We took advantage of all three. We stayed in the House of Brides suite. It had a full sitting room, King size bed and deep bathtub with shower. Everything was appointed nicely and very clean. Small fridge and microwave in the room. The breakfast on Sunday morning was excellent, coffee, juice, fruit and an amazing quiche. Thank you Susan for taking care of us.
Our group of 12 had the whole house over the weekend and enjoyed it very much. Just walking in the door was a treat. The home was decorated beautifully and included many curios filled with the owner's private collections, including cookie jars, Fitz and Floyd, as well as others. The home is beautifully maintained and both the large front porch with its swings and rockers, the enclosed sitting/sun room, and the back garden invited you to sit and visit with friends.||Our hostess, Susan, was well informed and was ready, willing and able to answer any questions we had. She was engaging, offered suggestions for places to visit and dine, and was helpful in every way. And, oh my goodness....can she cook! Our breakfasts were picture perfect and mouthwatering. And we walked away with a great pretzel recipe, too! If you've never been to a B&B, try this one. But be careful, it will spoil you to all others!
The Samuel Guy House is a hidden gem. It is within walking distance of Front St yet tucked away from the busy streets. When walking onto the porch and through the front door, it is like stepping back in time. From the rockers and swings on the front porch to the glowing hardwood floors and crystal chandeliers throughout the home, the beauty and and antique feel is inviting. The backyard Olive's garden is peaceful and the perfect place to read a book, watch the birds, or catch a nap. Last but certainly not least, Susan is an amazing hostess and cook! Breakfast was delicious! Needless to say, this bed and breakfast is our favorite in Natchitoches.
The stay here was excellent! Rooms were very comfortable and clean and Kelly (the innkeeper) made our stay much more enjoyable. She greeted us every morning with a smile and portrayed a very pleasant atmosphere.
Great food and location, but even better customer service. The owner was so pleasant and polite. I enjoyed talking with her. She saw that my pancakes were on the dark side and stated that she would go to the kitchen and remake them for me. I am not f
