We had the pleasure of eating at Sam's last week on a business trip to Downingtown. He opened the place in 1976 and it maintains that same vibe. My colleague and I both ordered a pizza cheese steak with pepperoni, onions and mushrooms. Wow! The bread and the love that went into making it! Make sure to save room for a stop at Sam's next time you're in town!
At Sam's you get that old time pizza joint feel. My family and I sat at one of the 2 tables we enjoyed talking to sam and his wife.
Sam’s is where you want to go if you want the best classic. It reminds of another Sam, The Garden Village in West Pittston. I can’t describe it. Nostalgia? Perfect amount of meat and cheese, fresh peppers , lettuce, tomato, and onion. Major thing is the roll. The roll makes or breaks a hoagie, here it shines like the rest. My advice, get the hot and sweet peppers on the side, same with the oil and vinegar. Don’t let someone else’s over/under abundance of condiments dictate the greatness of a hoagie.

Best Cheesesteak in Chester County, even the best cheesesteak outside of Philadelphia. Pizza is excellent too, sauce is very good.
If you are in Downingtown and you need a good cheesesteak, Sam is your cheesesteak man and possibly a pizza with ham. This was a very good pizza shop cheesesteak. Everything could have been a little better. Everything could have been a little worse. I think there were some grandkids running around. Very good overall experience.
We were visiting and looking for an authentic Philly cheese steak sandwich, we found it at Sam's Pizza. The owners are very friendly and have been running the business for 47yrs. The decor looks original but that is part of the allure. We recommend taking the time to go to this place.

Stopped by for the first time on a Sunday about 1PM and are very glad that we did. The taproom was comfortably busy but service was fast and friendly. The brunch menu is creative while having standard fare for those less adventurous. The Black Bean B

I was looking for a Mexican restaurant in Downingtown and as luck would have it, came across El Tarasco. The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were huge ( all for a very good price as well! )

We had a great overall experience here. The decor inside and outside the building is awesome! There are projectors inside with one showing a sport game. One wasn't on at the time. There is a bar inside that has a noticeable fancy cappuccino machine.
Oh wow! I didn't know what to expect but I was so pleasantly surprised. I did AYCE, and it didn't disappoint, quite the contrary. Everything was so fresh and tasty. I am glad I discovered this place as a new destination for me.
