A bit of a bashing here. It took 10 minuted before they even took our order. They never filled our coffee or water and it took 30 minutes to get an omlette after we ordered. They got our order wrong. And the crowning jewel. My wife had a mild case of food poisoning. It might have been because they gave her egg yolks when she ordered egg whites only in her omlette and she has not eaten full eggs in a long time. But, it already taken so long. She kept saying "It doesn't taste right" and only ate half. She got ill in the early evening and was better the next day.
We've eaten here several times over the years and it's always good food and good service. We ate here for breakfast this week for the first time and it was incredible. The food was good, plentiful, and perfectly seasoned. We ordered 2 meals for 3 people and could barely finish it. The junkyard omelette was so delicious and had everything in it. The grits were cooked thoroughly and very soft. The second breakfast was biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. There were 4 large pieces of biscuits covered in gravy and the scrambled eggs were just right. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly and fast. The place is bigger than it looks, but we've never waited too long. Definitely worth a visit.
Sammy J’s is always hoping. We finally took the chance to have breakfast and throughly enjoyed it. The Hangover Bowl is fantastic! The Corn Beef Hash was delicious too. The grits were a little under-salted but there’s so many great things about Sammy J’s. Loved the cool 50’s diner feel and the staff are fantastic.
Edit: the owner has reached out and has rectified this situation and I do appreciate that. They do genuinely seem to care about their customers. Changing my review but leaving the original comments.
We’ve been here often over the years and usually it’s great. It’s normally a place full of friendly staff, quick and inexpensive meals and decent food. However today was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had in my life. As soon as we sat down our server was rude, short and came off very aggressive and seemed like she was in a bad mood. I made a comment to my partner about it, and she must have heard me because she never came back to our table after that. Someone else eventually came and brought us our food after waiting for awhile and the original server peeked her head over and said “is everything good? I guess everything but the service, right?” I looked at her confused and in shock for a second when she went on to say “would you like to complain to my manager to get me fired?” And when I said sure, she yelled across the restaurant “you hear that? She wants to complain to get me fired” where the girl who brought our food said “I’m not gonna fire you” and laughed. Someone else entirely brought us our check. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but there’s no excuse to talk to a customer that way. I can go to plenty of other establishments and receive better quality food and better service in the area so don’t think I’ll be going back.
I love this. They have really great biscuits and Gravy. They're hasbrowns are pretty average so you don't have to worry about losing other good food just for the biscuits and Gravy. They're chocolate chip pancakes are divine. You've gotta come here.
The menu consists of typical diner food, but it is consistently good and served by a friendly staff in an atmosphere that is designed like an old-time diner. It has been a local favorite for many years, and for good reasons, including the price, quality, and portions.
We ordered breakfast on a Saturday morning to be delivered to our Airbnb. We had to wait a while, but it was worth it! The food was delicious. My husband ordered eggs, bacon, hash, and the French toast. I ordered scrambled cheese eggs, bacon, and hash browns with the stuffed pancakes with cream cheese and strawberries. It all arrived hot. The bacon was perfectly crispy. The pancakes were huge! And the coffee was good too. Very pleased 😋
Took our grandsons for breakfast before a Spring Training game and the service was amazing! Our server was so great with the boys and she thought it was so great that they were going to a game! They all had the kids pancake meals and honestly 2 meals for the 3 boys would have been plenty. There were 3 good sized pancakes! Would definitely return!!
We stopped for brunch and it did not disappoint!! I had the Nashville hot chicken hash and he had the homemade corned beef hash. Finished off with a cinnamon bun , flight of mimosas and a spiked caramel coffee. Spent a lot but it was worth the experi

I've been working with Rita for years and I was hesitant to switch to the online Bolder Strong program because I wasn't sure if I'd really do it. I know myself and I felt if I didn't have a time and a place, I may not follow through. It was the total
