It's definitely a great place to rake a walk or bring your pets. Plenty of parking available. There are a few benches and grills available. There are no restrooms on site, so be aware. They keep the park very clean.

Nice view as you walk through the trails. There is one playground that I know of. They have portapotty . Yes plenty of picnic area. Yes dog friendly as well.
I enjoy this park so much. It is one of my fave walking places. It feels like an adventure. I work from home and I love taking breaks to enjoy exploring the park. It's also a great picnic area, a great place to sit under a tree reading books and even filming some of my social media exercises.
Nice place to walk. Trails are paved, wide and clean. Metal blue painted benches on the side at different spots on the trails and in the park. River is not viewable from the Riverside trail unlike the name implies. We get better views of the water on our way back when we decide to leave the paved trail and come via straight elevated path/trail that was not paved.
The foliage, curved trail paths, small lake on one side with Elm Fork Trinity River, the 3 mile round-trip from the parking lot was an excellent evening treat
It's an amazing place for a walk and to watch the sunset right. You can spot some reptiles along the trial if you are lucky , or not. Best to visit when there is some light. Love the patches on the trail which makes it look like a dense forest
Beautiful walking trails that are readily accessible to residents of the area. The trails connect with the canals and there are many paths one can take. There are fields of wildflowers in the spring (evening primrose, blue bonnets, blue eyed grass, texas stars, Indian blanket, texas vervain, queen Anne's lace, Indian paintbrush, to name a few) and opportunities for bird and wildlife watching (Armadillos, turtles) aplenty.
Nice park for family and kids. The green spaces are well-maintained, the playgrounds are great for kids, and the walking paths offer a peaceful escape from daily hustle and bustle. It is a perfect spot for jogging or just enjoying nature. Highly reco
