Salty Dawg Saloon - Bar in Homer - 4380 Homer Spit Rd, USA

Loved visiting this unique saloon! I went earlier in the day, so it wasn’t packed. You can easily spend hours in there just reading the messages left on all the dollar bills. Fun and bubbly bartender, make sure to get one of their awesome hoodies!

We bought souvenirs on a busy Monday afternoon. After driving down the scenic Alaskan highway, we loved the interior and courteous even though there was one server tending the bar. Friendly and busy!

This is definitely not a family experience 😂 However, for singles or couple it’s a cool history behind this place, that was the main reason why I went there. It was so busy however that there was hardly standing room there! The was stinky and loud and not preference of someone to grab a beer but all in all I’d say it’s worth see it, if your on the Homer Spit!

This bar scores well for me simply for the atmosphere. It's definitely a dive - dank, dingy, dollars to the walls, all of the fan favorites. The service is usually curt and abrupt in all the best ways you want in a dive bar. There's a pool table and outdoor seating, and the prices are fair. Definitely a must-see while you're in Homer.

Super cool place you must visit!!! We got swag... Visited with the bartender Sonja... Quick tribute to our friend Hal.. he had passed away and we sprinkled some of his ashes nearby we'll definitely be back... If the light is on they're open!!!

This is a local staple- you have to go visit at least once. My only issue was it is a 'cash only' place. Most people don't carry cash nowadays; and while there was an ATM there (with a fee of course) it's a pain to have to have to get cash every time you stop. But as long as you know it's cash only, it's a fun spot to stop for a drink.

Went for drinks after a fishing charter. Friendly staff. Cool atmosphere. Easy to make new friends. Low drink prices which is amazing. Went two nights in a row.
