- night faire in this location was really awesome, so many vendors and cool things to see. - staff were friendly. - parking was a bit hard to find during the holidays in October. - can get muddy so watch out. - I believe this is only open in October. Check website for all informal. - one time while visiting I'll have to check out the village in the daytime. - overall a great experience and worth checking out.

We loved this living piece of history. More places like this should exist as they show history as it was in a natural area. We took our time and looked at everything that was open and were quite impressed. The self paced tour gave enough of the past to explain but left enough to the imagination to feel/imagine what it was like for people to live in conditions like this. Worth the $5 per person for a 20 to 30 minute walk through especially if you like history.

We assumed since this was in a park, it would be open to walk around at any time. Sadly, it was closed & the fence was closed/locked. We really wanted to see this. Make sure you check hours on Google before coming since they do lock the gate off hours. We were able to see a couple buildings between the fence line.

Very charming recreation from the 1930's of a 17th century village, with homes that you can enter and read about life in the past. It was great for the whole family to walk around in, and enjoy the outdoors, too. The entrance was $5, and free for children under 6. They are only open on weekends, for a few hours, so try to plan ahead. There is free parking for the Forest River park and the Pioneer Village on site. There is also access to a small beach at the end of the village, where you can have a nice swim to cool down. It was a lot of fun for a day trip!

We bought tickets online because it was Halloween weekend. The village is so cute, and we enjoyed it as a family, especially seeing Binx's House (Hocus Pocus). It is a short visit but worth it.

A fun experience and only $5! It's nice because it's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Salem, and while there were a few people there, it was not nearly as packed as I main shopping district. Also a nice place for photography

Normally they are only open on the weekends however we were in Salem the week of Friday the 13th in October so they opened for Friday. It's pretty cool to relate it to the Hocus Pocus movie it's not very well kept up which is sad because you could totally get the real feel of just a little extra was put into it. It takes about 10-15min to walk through we got there right at opening so there were a lot of people. It's definitely only a one time visit kind of place

Entrance is $5 you can pay by QR code or cash. The paths are dirt and mudd in the rain. There is trash throughout the exhibit taking away from authenticity. But the slightly historical and Hocus Pocus references were cute. With the mud this was not handicap accessible.
