There's plenty to do besides just going to the beach. Yes there is portable restrooms/ restrooms also around the camping and public spots and. there is a unisex changing room in the beach. They could use more changing rooms around the park. They have trails, beach, paddle boat/ motor boat rental, horse trails, camping spots, designated fishing, picnic tables with grills...etc... I enjoy my visits!
It was very beautiful. Very lovely and lots of greenery .Saw a lot of deer just hanging out in the area. Horse trail and horse camping area. They also have a bike trail as well as a nature interpretive center with some rehabilitated birds. They also had a small beach that is open from memorial day to labor day.lots of very cool things to see and explore.cant wait to come back.
We were at the beach area it was not to busy. Good place for kids to swim, build sand castle etc..
What happened to this place! There used to be a concession stand. A place to change your clothes and buy food and now it’s a big desolate piece of land, but they still make you pay to get in. It is sad that they just keep tearing things down and they don’t put money into it, very disappointing. When I went it used to be happening place now it’s a big pile of sand. I hope they put something back there again.
We go just to swim, currently. However, they have campsites and recreational things to do. My kids love going and swimming and the price is decent too, $7 to get in per carload. A lot of ppl even grill out after swimming. Very nice wooded area surrounded by a group of lakes.
Did a little bit of winter beach combing . great area for any type of seasonal activities. From winter to summer to fall to spring. Trails for horse snowmobiling and hiking.
The beach area was clean and there was plenty of parking, but the swimming area was an odd shape. It was very wide, but it didn't go out very far. It was barely over my head at the deepest point I could find and I'm only 5'2". There are little showers to rinse off in which was nice. I wish there was another changing room. (I only saw one). It's a pretty far hike from the campground too and there aren't sidewalks so we drove down there.
