We went for lunch after the Christmas weekend. We ordered agadasi tofu from the appetizer menu, i believe; which is deep-fried tofu in a umami sauce, and i absolutely loved it. It was so flavourful. It was my first time tasting deep-fried tofu, so i had my doubts. But it's 100% recommended to try, i know I'm gonna have it again. Then, for main course, we had salmon teriyaki bento box and tempura udon. Both were delicious. Salmon bento box was nicely arranged and proportion wise very good size. I had to share with my husband as i couldn't finish everything. Tempura udon was also good size. It came with shrimp and veggie (squash and zucchini- we think) tempura. Udon was flavorful and tasty. Food was hot and service was very nice. The restaurant is very clean and well organized. Nice ambiance. We'll go back for sure.

Omg, hands down the best Japanese restaurant in the city! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is simply amazing. Not only does it look good, but it tastes fantastic too. The restaurant's decor is beautiful, and they use quality dishes, not plastic like in many other places. Plus, the sushi is reasonably priced. A must-try for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts!

One of the best sushi experience we have ever had. We ordered shrimp shumai and chirashi. The shumai was steamed, not fried, which we loved, and it was so flavorful and you could really taste the shrimp. The chrashi was a work of ART. We have seldom seen other sushi chefs that put this much thought and effort into a chirashi. At $25, the chrashi had 14 pieces if sashimi (not including imitation crab and eggs), and also included some salmon roe. Worth every penny!! Our server, Maloban, was also very kind and responsive. One of the best dining experiences in town!!

This was our first and last visit. The restaurant was empty on Thursday at lunch time, and we saw why. They also had at least 6 health violations on their November report. The atmosphere was fine, a bit dark, but the service was quite slow considering we were the only table present for our entire visit. The server was scrolling on his phone behind the empty bar. The water served was tepid and tasted odd. My husband got the chicken katsu which was tough and flavorless. He only ate half. I had the sushi combo. The salmon was pretty ok and everything else was not very good. Having a krab stick on a sushi combo tray is a cop out. The tamago was not good and the white fish was poorly cut. It’s hard to mess up a California roll, but it too was a bit too mayonnaisey and had a fridge taste. The wasabi was definitely the cheap horseradish paste and the ginger did not taste very fresh either. In summary, nothing was particularly fresh or of quality to justify the prices. The food aspired to mid.

I went here for my company holiday lunch for one! I enjoyed the Iceland Volcano roll with their side salad and a glass of chardonnay. It was such a perfect lunch! They also use Upside offering 6% back from your total bill!! . 9/28/23 Tried a new dish, tofu Yakisoba. It was good once you add a little heat to it!

Delicious! Everything we had was great, especially the sushi. The rice was soft and well seasoned and the fish was super fresh. The shrimp shumai was also delicious and I can’t wait to come back and try the noodles and bento boxes among other things! My only complaint was that my scallops were definitely over cooked, but it still won’t stop me from coming back to get other dishes!

Super delicious. Probably the best fried gyozya I've ever had. Everything was yummy, service was great, atmosphere was lovely. Not a single complaint.

Sakura is one of the best Japanese cuisines available in Urbana Champaign. I had Japanese food first time in restaurant, we ordered few authentic Japanese dishes. I really liked the design of arrangement of rolls. Especially the seafoods are very nice, tasty and delicious 🤤. Everybody was happy after coming out of Sakura, that was the delight. Service was decent and you can also sit outside, very accommodating staff. Overall I suggest to try once and have fun. You will definitely feel to go again.

I started going to six months ago because I heard BJJ is a good type of self defence for female bodies and good way to work out. I stayed because it is a friendly and inclusive environment which challenges me to do better and doesn’t make me feel

I've been here for lectures, poetry readings, and concerts. It's a really nice multipurpose venue. Usually has food and drink available prior to events. I must say that the steps up to the building are formidable. There must be an accessible entrance
