My son always pick to come here for his birthday because they make him feel special! Food taste great and the chefs are always very entertaining. It’s more fun when people you’re eating with participate. Take the Sake & catch the broccoli in your mouth when the chef toss it to you, you only live once people.
Out of all the Japanese restaurants in the immediate area, this is my favorite. I've tried the others and they are sub-par to Safehouse, in my opinion. I recommend this place and will continue to return here for Japanese and hibachi style cuisine. Food always looks and tastes fresh. This place has always been busy regardless of what day of the week I visit. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Lots of people celebrate birthdays here. And they do a great job to make it a fun experience.
The lunch hibachi was surprisingly popular on a Friday the week of Christmas with 2.5 tables filled by 11:35 with families with children. The restaurant was very clean and service was quick. The lunch and children's portions are a great deal. I would strongly recommend this small local chain which has only a couple other locations.
Sake House is the kind of local restaurant you just love to find and make your regular dining spot. They make the most beautiful sushi plates with a great variety of fish, everything from salmon to tuna, yellow fin, shrimp, and eel. They also have bento boxes with katsu dishes and teriyaki options. They have the restaurant divided in half. One side is the quieter sushi bar and dining side, and the other side is the hibachi side. The hibachi shows are very fun, albeit a bit loud, so if you have children or adults with sensory issues in your party, keep this in mind. Service at the Sake House is very attentive and helpful. They have the nicest servers. Definitely give them a try!
Went for my birthday while we were in Hilton Head and it was yummy! Atmosphere was nice and the little birthday sundae was fun!
This is where we went for my daughter's birthday. We went later in the evening. And that did not change a thing I mean they were closing when we left and the show that we received, the birthday celebration that they gave, the food, etc. Good people good food worth every bit of it.
I am the vegan in the family so my review is not so much about the food. My husband loves Japanese steak houses and THIS one is always available, so it has turned into a family 'go to'. They accept reservations - which I recommend on weekends after 5:30 specially in the summer - but are not always required. The service is prompt, the food is plentiful, and the servers are attentive. This is not five star dining, but the entire vibe of the restaurant is sincere, accommodating and working hard to please.
The absolute best sushi I've ever had! There fish is so fresh and delicious. I drive from Hilton Head just to go to Sakehouse.
