We stopped in town for a 6 hour layover at Newark international airport. We originally went to Washington Street to eat at the pizza shop next-door. But as soon as we got there and my wife saw sushi, she wanted to try the sushi as we were returning from Italy and had eaten enough pizza.
Sushi was very good. Full of flavor! Service was great very quick, very polite!!!

Absolutely amazing and fresh sushi & sashimi!! A must try!! The best sushi I have had in a long time. The avocado salad and vegetable fried rice was a 10/10. Overall amazing experience with wonderful food and service. Thank you all for everything!
Amazing food and five-star service. We had a table of six and had to wait about an house on a Saturday night. Once we were seated, server was attentive and friendly, and after we ordered the food came out fast. Presentation was amazing and everything tasted delicious. Would recommend any of the specialty rolls, and we also had the coconut shrimp appetizer.
This place is BYOB and it seems like you can call ahead and get on a wait list for busy evenings. There’s also a loyalty card, you get a stamp for every $20 you spend and you get something (not sure what) after the tenth stamp. We will definitely be back!
Yesterday I had dinner at Saka and everything was amazing! Food, service, ambiance! Staff was very attentive even though they were really busy! Teresa was very kind when one of our kids spilled her lemonade ✨
So comfortable and peaceful when I was in this amazing establishment. My hand rolls were delicious and fresh and the service was excellent. I recommend to anyone coming to Hoboken to find a good hibachi spot with the sushi and rolls. Pretty affordable and completely worth it.
Went here in a Friday night and it was packed. Service was slow but they were busy. The sushi itself was really good but the aesthetic and playing was quite beautiful for this restaurant. Each dish had flowers and centerpieces. Got sashimi, bumble bee and blue ocean roll. The sushi itself was fresh and good but I think there are better sushi restaurants in Hoboken.
Delicious, fresh sushi supported by outstanding service. I was particularly impressed by the presentation of the rolls I ordered; it was beautiful! The BYOB option would be nice for a date night.
Awesome place! I cannot compare this with a expensive Japanese restaurant, but it is definitely a budget friendly GOOD place. All dishes are tasty! The owner gives us free noodles and sweets. Love her and the place!
