3.5 stars I’d say. This place is not terrible. Food is good & we found the service was adequate. Most items we tried were OK but the fried rice was exceptional. It’s hard to get good fried rice in Tampa so will definitely return for this alone. They have a nice Asian beer selection too, served in chilled glass. Restaurant seemed clean & food prepared to order.
The parking is a little bit of a pain the way it’s designed although there were plenty of spots available. Basically, coming in through the main entrance on Gunn puts you facing the wrong direction on either side so you’re better off turning on the side road just after the plaza & coming in through there.
Whew. Where to start? This one is a doozy. There are no lunch specials. The dishes are overpriced. The food was overcooked. The chicken fried rice had to be sent back because it was so dry. We were basically the only people there during lunch on Saturday. The service was cold and unwelcoming. The location isn’t great. We will definitely not be back.
We like visiting Bru and you can bring in outside food making Saikyo Kitchen the perfect spot to order from.
Title: Just an "Okay" Japanese-Style Daily Meal
Hi, it's Stephen - your trusted food reviewer. I recently visited Saikyo Kitchen for a quick brunch and wanted to share my experience.
Food & Beverage:
3/5 ⭐️
Appetizer: Sashimi of Tuna, Salmon, and Sweet Shrimp, plus Mackerel Nigiri. Based on other reviews of Saikyo, I noted that the chef normally thinly slices the fish for bite-sized portions and easy consumption. However, the cuboid shapes of my Tuna and Salmon sashimi seemed unusual and not quite bite-sized. As for the nigiri, the rice was not held together well enough to maintain its shape. When I dipped my second nigiri into soy sauce, my lovely Mackerel unfortunately fell apart.
Main Course: I ordered the Pork Tonkotsu. The charred color of the pork belly caught my eye, but the toppings didn't make a real impression when combined with the overcooked ramen. The soup's taste was quite off as well; there weren't enough flavors to provide a powerful kick.
Drink: Sapporo Beer offers a crisp, refreshing taste with a perfect balance of malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Its smooth, clean finish and easy-drinking profile make it a versatile choice for any occasion.
Service:
4/5 ⭐️
The service met the right standards, with servers asking the right questions and responding promptly to orders. However, there was a slight delay when the server didn't know which dishes were available, requiring them to check with the chef upon receiving my order.

I visited around noon when only one other table was occupied. The ambiance was cozy enough for me to enjoy a quick bite before heading out.
I highly recommend Saikyo Kitchen! The ramen and Pho were so flavorful! I had the crunchy tuna roll, sexy man roll and the Mexican roll...hands down the best sushi in the area. The fresh tuna on the sexy man roll was especially delicious!
The owners are the sweetest people and will make you feel like family!!!!!
The spicy Raman came out looking like some brimstone work of art. Tasted even better. Definitely has some heat...but for me just the right amount and I like spicy foods. My picky wife got the pho and she loved it.
Sushi was on point as well.
Compliments to the chef and the pleasant service.
First time visit and will absolutely make the trip back soon.
Everything we ate was delicious! Tempura was good, sushi was excellent (rice had loads of flavor, and they had uni!), ramen was comforting and rich. We will absolutely return again! Such a great spot!
This place was amazing! The food was fresh, smelled great, tasted even better! The sushi was very good. Service was friendly and prices were fair for the quality.
I highly recommend this place for a more intimate experience. Always support local small business whenever my wife and I can. You won't be disappointed. 🥣🍣🍜😁
Nice lil hole in the wall bar in Keystone . Plenty of drink options and staff were super kind . They got deals during the week and have a nice pool table and arcade games as well . Prices are all fair . Thanks !!
