We went here for our holiday dinner. The ambience was cozy and I loved the high booths for great privacy. The staff was helpful with answering questions. We ordered Chicken tikka sizzler, chicken korma, dal makhani and Shaba special naan. You can ask for the spice level you are comfortable with. We went with median for the chicken korma and my daughter who has low spice threshold loved it. We asked for the dal makhani to be spicy. Although it was not as spicy as I am used to still it satiated for the cold night. Will come again for my daughter for sure.
One of the best flavors of Indian spices I had in SFO. The staff are very polite and concerned about how you feel about the food. I had lamb biryani, coconut soup, I would definitely recommend anybody who is craving for that Indian taste. This is the place. A must visit.
Love this place. We went there and had naan , keswari naan, aloo gobi and paneer bhurji. Loved every dishes , especially the kheswari naan, highly recommended. Also their spice level is really good. I do not like spicy food and they made a mild version, which is really mild in spice. Also the food came hot and fresh. Nice restaurant.
Update: I have taken away one star from them as they messed up with the delivery. They gave us stale food when we ordered the food from uber eats.
Went to celebrate a friend's birthday tonight. Walked in and got seated immediately as there was plenty room, it was very nice and the booths were high. Unfortunately I didn't bring enough cash with me to order Naan but I got a Caesar salad without chicken, my son got Mac & cheese. I would've liked to order Indian food given the location, but short on funds so that's on me. The prices were decent for the area and my friend ordered Butter chicken and an extra side of rice as well as a Mango Lassi.
Really my only complaint is that all of the food took forever to come out. I got a Caesar but it took so long to get it, my son got Mac & cheese and my friend had nearly finished his whole meal before the Mac & cheese arrived at the table. I DO appreciate that they kept us in the loop for it being delayed, but man it took a while. All of the employees were very nice and refilled our waters regularly. Also I think on the website the Caesar is listed as vegetarian bur Caesar by definition is not vegetarian as the dressing has anchovies in it.
We are so lucky to have Saffron in Lamorinda. The food is delicious, flavorful, clean ingredients and authentic. Everything is made with so much love. This is the spot to get your dose of Indian food or catering for parties. Full of comminity!!!!! I went to a rad Diwali party at Saffron and left high on life.
Ordered mixed vegetables. They delivered bengan Bharta. Ordered two orders of onion kulcha to take out after we were done with meals. Took them forever to pack the Kulchas. Had a 2 year old and a five year old. Was extremely difficult to manage. And it was not like they were busy. the restaurant was practically empty only two other tables occupied. They already had their food delivered. All the waiters were standing in front of the kitchen and the cook talking to them. On the top of it all it was super expensive and food was so so both in taste and quantity. Utterly disappointing.
MUST TRY: Paneer Pakooda (their traditionally homemade Indian cheese)
We(5friends) traveling from Pittsburgh, PA to LAX.
We honored to get chance to hosted by restaurant owner with favorite Long Island ice tea on bar, followed by delicious Paneer Pakoda and Veg pakoda.
We had tried Saag paneer, butter chicken, chilly chicken, daal makhani and kadhi served with garlic naan & rice. All dishes were appetizing ,flavorful.
Also had hot gulabjamum , it was soft and mouthwatering.

Cute and cozy place. Neatly maintained. Great menu options. The taste is amazing, kids loved the place. Great service. Loved the bhel puri and bhel puri. Even the chai is perfect. I really hope they continue maintaining the quality and standard.
Hanazen oferred some of the most delicious fish and housemade seasonings I have ever tasted. The service was incredible and the food was beyond memorable. Be sure to call and make a reservation for a meal you won't soon forget.
I am short of words to describe the experience. I would say it brings out the kid inside me. Lovely place for kids and adults alike if you're into little toy steam trains. There's something about it that makes you happy. I wouldn't be overstating it
We have been going to Cal Shakes productions since we were just college kids. It is a lot of fun! We always get there at 6pm, grab a picnic table, and eat a wonderful potluck. For a while we got super fancy and once even brought a fancy candlestic
Trail with some elevation gain. Hiking towards the peak gives you some beautiful views of the bay area.
Not all trail is shaded so wear a cap or hat if you can.
It was not busy on a Friday evening.
A jewel of a performance location. We attended the first annual Bluegrass festival in early August. Although billed as 3 hours, it was an 8 hour band-filled jam. Topped off with a swirling pink and magenta sunset behind the stage, silhouetted by the
Great scenic place for a walking hike. Trail is easy - most of it is paved and relatively flat. But, on a clear day you have a great view of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and much of the bay.
Trail is dog friendly. As a side note, if you wa
It's a miracle this place has survived - only through the active efforts of the community and the interest in the histori Art Deco character. Places like this are important to frequent and support. You'll never know how long they'll be around. There
Visited around 2pm on a Saturday and was seated right away despite being busy. They have a wonderful outdoor patio with lots of seating, tvs for entertainment, great music on weekends, and they are dog friendly! The atmosphere was enjoyable. The serv
