Saffron Fine Indian Cuisine - Indian restaurant in Middletown - 130 Dolson Ave, USA

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place so I finally came. Yes there’s a lot of parking and the inside is big but the customer service is terrible.. I went on a Saturday around 1pm not many people in the restaurant so I thought it would be a great opportunity. They still had dishes on the table from the last party.. I order 2 Captain Morgan and Coke‘s and exactly how you see it in the photo is how they serviced it to me. It’s definitely missing 2 sips ($10 each) but okay let’s carry on. The fried fish nuggets were definitely delicious and the green sauce was amazing.. The lamb and rice was good and tender the extra sauce on the side is great. The mango shrimp and rice was not a good move. I had a whole bowl of sauce and 4 shrimps.. yes it taste like mango but not much flavor. The rice taste like it was uncle bens. I did enjoy the garlic naan bread. I wouldn’t come back due to the poor customer service. Also at the end of my bill they charged me $12 for each drink the lady said it was whisky in which it wasn’t. They did change it but how dare they over charge and not even fill my highball glass up. They probably do better with party’s, with the amount I spent at this restaurant I’m disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it.

We had Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan, it was absolutely amazing. 7 people served, very happily. Thank you for the delicious food!

The food is good. We have been coming here for a year now. What I found very distasteful as an Indian was that they charged me $5 for an "onion platter". I had asked for raw onions, as is the norm with good spicy Punjabi food. Literally just sliced onion. They quietly added 5 bucks for it. And when I asked, "really, $5 for sliced onion?", they shrugged. Never returning here.

AMAZING!!! I came up to visit family and was craving Indian food. I found this restaurant and a few others. Reviews were similar, but we took a chance on Saffron. We showed up, ordered a few appetizers, and was completely blown away! We then ordered 3 entrees (which we couldn’t even finish) and every bite got better than the last. We ordered Gobi Manchurian (think of Indian General Tso’s, but with cauliflower), pekora, and samosa chaat. Follower it with Chicken Tikka Masala (my personal favorite), Butter Chicken, and Aloo Gobi Masala. Couldn’t forget the garlic naan! Looking forward to my leftovers and the next trip to NY. Highly recommend it!!

the delivery is quick and its the best butter chicken i ever had in my life. service is eh, because when I went to pick up once, they took 30 minutes for one plate, but it was delicious nonetheless. also, the portions are big and filling, so you get the bang for your buck!

I have been coming here for YEARS with my husband and other family members. This place is an 11/10! Ignore the bad reviews. The service is very good but the true star(s) of the show is the AMAZING food and fair prices. The food is consistent EVERY TIME. Same portion sizes, same taste, same presentation/plating every sing time. Every time we eat here or order from here we are just floored with how delicious it is. Definitely give it a try!

We loved this place, the hospitality and the food so much, we went back the next day again!!! Tony and his crew are so amazingly respectful, courteous and friendly that you have to see for yourself. We loved the food and loved the desserts ever more! Will be back for more!!!

The food was good with a variety of spice levels. We tried a bunch of entrees and appetizers - all were enjoyed. The cocktails weren't great, maybe just order a beer or a glass of wine. The service was okay, not the most friendly, but not rude. The food came out fairly quick which was appreciated. The restaurant itself could use some updating, but certainly not a deal breaker. May be better to get take out here. We did see a lot of orders being picked up while we were there. Worth a try if you enjoy Indian food!
