What a hidden gem! Found this on a Google search looking for interesting places to go. It didn’t disappoint. Beautiful house. Interesting family. The docent, Caroline, made the tour very enjoyable. We’ll be back during the holidays.
The house itself is beautiful and rich with history. Alice was our tour guide and she was a joy to be around. She knew an amazing amount about the house itself and the local history. If you're visiting Tarpon Springs and have some spare time do not pass up the chance to visit.

Very well maintained and restored former residence of one of Tarpon Springs' former residents. The tour begins with a video about the history of the home and its occupants. While she was very nice, I didn't find the tour guide as helpful as I expected. Almost everything she told us was included in the video.
I really enjoyed the museum and it narrator was excellent with information.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Safford House. Our docent brought the house's history and its owners to life with her in-depth knowledge and excellent interpretive skills.
