Safeway - Grocery store in Kihei - 277 Pi\'Ikea Ave, USA

I think Safeway is the best grocery store in Kihei. They just did a recent remodel and updated the look of the store and it turned out very nice. There is a ton of parking. There is a nice floral section and it is a place to grab a lei if you are in need. Stop by for $5 Friday to find some good deals. It is the place I go in town to look for deals on meat and stock up the freezer when I find a good deal. Stop by the deli and the hot food section and try the salt and vinegar chicken wings!

Clean store, lots of options. Hawaii does not sell alcohol after 11pm. we walked in around 10:30 pm from after our flight in and needed some items and food to recover from jet lag and beer to celebrate. Unfortunately, at check out, we couldn't get the beers. It was OK, but no signs were posted. I am thankful to find everything that we needed and check out was a breeze. There is a membership for discounts and points, but we didn't have that, but some nice locals let us use their card, so we got the discounts on items, and they got our points. We paid, of course, and I saw it as Ohana. Thankful, Mahalo.

Perfectly reasonable grocery store with a good selection of products. As is the case at most Safeway stores, it's fairly basic and isn't very inspirational. Aisles are a bit narrow when it gets crowded. It is also expensive for what it is, although using the "Safeway for U" loyalty card or app unlocks some savings and gives access to member prices. It's free to join.

The place is quite busy in South Kihei with shoppers come and go. Their location and 24 hours open are pretty convenient for visitors in the area. The flower department carries variety of island flowers 🌸. There are lots of parking spaces. Many other stores, shops, restaurants on the same shopping mall or nearby to give visitors choices.

We were looking for halal or kosher in Maui. found halal frozen Saffron road chicken Tikka masala, Biryani, pineapple chicken etc at this location. They actually had some variety between kosher and halal in that section. Overall store looked well stocked and buy. Prices are reasonable for island. Good job management.

Fine, if you're a member. Sucks for out of country tourists, all the good prices are for members only. Good selection overall, very busy when we went ( 3 pm on a Monday).

Prices are honestly pretty similar to most other states. But, the staff is demonstrably unkind towards others. Why are you all so angry?Simply asking where something was located feels like a crime. Further, I noticed several items rang up for significantly higher prices (yes, used the membership) and deals written directly on the product label were not honored. In fact, the staff response was to rip the label off of the product at the register with a stern, "no." Is that even legal? Regardless, is that friendly? Of course not.

A lot of great poke selection. I was on the hunt for crab poke and found them here! Also people need to chill about the poke guy. He wasn’t rude or mean at all to be honest. To me, he’s just doing his job. This is not a 5 star restaurant, it’s a grocery store.
