Such a cozy and comfortable hotel. I just completed a drive across the country staying at hotels with a similar price point and this was by far the best, hands down. Super comfortable room with nice bedding, and the sun came in through the window in the morning when I opened the blinds, which I absolutely loved. The back seating area is so charming! Loved drinking my coffee and reading the book outside. The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating - I couldn’t say nice enough things. Truly made me feel like I was at a home away from home and went above and beyond for a comfortable experience for a single traveling female. Location is absolutely fantastic too. I have my car but it was nice to be able to walk to a spot for dinner, and so many of my favorite shops are nearby within walking distance. 10/10.

Super affordable stay near the park. We went during a busy time so was advised by a friend to enter at the 29 Palms entrance which is about 15 minutes from this motel. The rooms were a bit worn out and the light at night was pretty bright through the room. I made a pillow wall and that worked well. Still, it's super cheap in an expensive area.

Warm, kind, accomodations in beautiful downtown Joshua Tree! This friendly, family owned, and managed, hotel has a serene charm, and a very welcoming atmosphere. Well recommended!! Enjoy!

The Safari Motor Inn is from an age when rooms were smaller. We stayed two nights, in June 2023. The room was clean. The sheets, pillowcases and towels were very clean. The bathroom and shower, likewise, were quite clean. |Our stay was pleasant and more personal than at a large hotel.|This Inn matches the tone and nature of the town of Joshua Tree.|Our sleep was good, with the mattress medium firm: no back pain.|Breakfasts and dinners were a couple of blocks walk, and were very excellent. Cactuses were many and varied in the pool patio area. Many security cameras ensure your safety. |We will come back to Safari and Joshua Tree National Park.

my friend & i stayed here for one night on a trip to joshua tree. overall a lovely 4-star experience (for context, 5-star for me is like a resort experience so almost all hotels/motels are a 4) - great location in town close to the park entrance, room was clean, there's a cute little patio, & the owner was very nice & the rate was super reasonable. i didn't notice any noise (but i sleep with earplugs in) or have any issues with parking. would absolutely come back if i don't camp next time :)

I stayed at this property for 2 nights alone while visiting Joshua Tree. First of all the location was fantastic. % minutes from the entrance to the park and on the main strip so I was able to walk to dinner. The owner Ravi is wonderful and very nice. The room was a bit dated but boy did my feet love the plush carpet after a day of hiking. It was also nice to not deal with any stairs and have my car parked in front of the room. Basic toiletries- bar soap & shampoo in the room. The room had a decent size fridge and a microwave. The shower was nothing exciting but it did the job. The courtyard was very nice but it was too cold in January to enjoy for too long. Great location and affordable. All in all I recommend this hotel.

I have been staying at the Safari Motor Inn for one or two nights a week when teaching a class at the local community college. My room has always been ready, perfectly clean, quiet, comfortable and allows me to quietly grade, prepare for class, and have work space that is suitable for my needs. I, when weather allows, enjoy the inner garden with the many light show arrangements that have been set up in the garden. It is also a good place in the morning to read the paper and enjoy a cup of coffee. ||Clean, comfortable, close to several interesting places to eat and near the national park. Seems to be a perfect place for a good night's rest.
