SaDec Bistro - Vietnamese restaurant in Mesa - 5221 S Power Rd #104, USA

First Impression: Beautiful restaurant, they definitely outdid themselves with decor and vibe. Service was great, guy at the counter was friendly. Really slow lunch for what it seems. Upon checking out the menu I noticed right off the bat high prices, especially compared to ALOT of Pho/vitnamese restaurants in the valley so I started getting hesitant. So after receiving my takeout and getting home, I ordered their Pho special which is p16, and wow I’m really Disappointed. After paying $22 the portion is small, I counted 8 pieces of beef at most when it’s suppose to contain the whole cow like other places. Broth was clear and flavorful but I just wish I got what I paid for. I can’t say I will come back again, I went because it’s only 10 mins from home but I think I’ll have to go to my usual spot in chandler, though far it’s worth the drive to get the quality and quantity.

Honestly my honest opinion 😒 we order the🐔 chicken pho. You can tell they cut the chicken and added it in. Chicken was very dry. The pho at this location is different. The broth is nasty. Normally my boyfriend put chili 🌶️ oil in his pho. They chili 🌶️ oil isn't that great. It taste sweet. SMH.

What we ordered: - Garlic chicken wings - Spicy Beef Noodle Soup - Sadec special stir-fry rice noodles Pros: - “Sadec” is a town in Vietnam that is famous for rice noodles. So I tried their Special rice noodles dish, and just the rice noodles was amazing. - Place looks nice. Warm decor and interior design. - Wings are hot and crispy. Cons: - The taste was heavily modified and far from authentic taste. - Garlic chicken wings don’t have much taste of garlic at all. - Spicy Beef Noodle soup was quite plain, tasted like spicy Pho. - Shrimps and calamari in the stir-fry dish were coated with flour and deep-fried, meant to absorb seasoning and sauces but created an unpleasant texture. Kinda ruined the taste of shrimps and calamari. Overall: Overpriced (and not really authentic) Vietnamese food!

Attempted to call ahead for pickup at 8pm during a long drive home, but their phone was disconnected. I stopped in anyway at 8:30pm, still 30 minutes ahead of closing time, and was refused service as “the kitchen is closed.” Change your posted hours if you want to close early.

fusion Vietnamese food, prices are high-$18 a bowl! charges for basil. long wait for food due to many to go orders. liked that they had a mi option. music was like we were in a club-trance electric not conducive to eating

I realized I had mixed up my reviews. Fixing that now. I enjoy the food here. However, I feel like the friendliness of the staff is very minimal. In a way, I felt like I was putting out a couple of the employees by being there. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice until I talked to a couple different employees. It was mostly my most recent visit where the employees seemed like I was inconveniencing them. I felt like previous times food was great and customer service was average. This time I don’t know what it was but the employees had such a bad attitude. It made me feel like I should have taken my food to go.. I would give less stars due to lack of customer service. However, the quality of food would make me rate is higher. Customer service would be 1-2 and food would be closer to a 4 so I average it at a 3.

I love this place so much when I moved to Arizona I was searching for a new place to eat pho and after trying so many this one has become my favorite by far. The taste is so rich and authentic and the service is so welcoming since they are all so polite and helpful and the overall feel of the restaurant is dim lighting which is so nice and peaceful feeling since you can fully just relax here and enjoy amazing food. I’ve recommended this place to all my friends and family and they love it just as much as I do <3
