Beautiful peaceful forest it is pretty well kept and there were several Rudrakshas on the ground they have a lovely small Ganesh temple at the end of the bamboo tunnels. It does get a bit muddy and slick wear appropriate shoes. The path is also mostly rock so again wear appropriate shoes. There is a small parking lot that gets filled quickly they are trying to expand it currently. There is a sign for the forest it is just a little ways down from the Hindu monastery. Go past the building with the ornate gate.
Very beautiful Hanuman statue and Rudraksha forest. The place was closed when I was there and I personally requested the guy who was working there to get blessings of Lord Hanuman.
The guy was kind enough to let us in we quickly took the blessings of Hanuman and left. Lot of construction is happening I am sure in future this place is going to be a great spiritual place. I hope to come back again sometime in life again.
A friend recommended this space to visit and I am so glad I made the time to come. The forest, bamboo and the statue of Hanuman were all very enchanting.
Is was sweet and beautiful to take our time walking through the trees and bamboo walkway.
I would recommend bringing bug spray though or just covering up. The mosquitos here are ferocious.
Also if you respect the land and or Hanuman, I would bring an offering to leave at his feet when you come to visit. 🙏🏽☺️
As per the Kauai's Hindu Monastery - Sacred Rudraksha Forest is closed for construction for next year or two. Unless you are a VIP, you won’t get access to the Hanuman idol and Rudraksha forest. Common people are restricted entrance due to planned construction. You can still visit the Rudraksha trees from the street.
Beautiful and peaceful place for a quick 20 minute stop to walk around. Amazing root system and massive structure of the trees and bamboo tunnel. Has some picnic tables and saw few people sitting and enjoying the peacefulness and serenity. Wish there was more information on the history behind the creation of the forest.
Amazing Hindu monastery. The temple is called in Tamil language as Kadavul temple and Lord Siva is the main deity. Peaceful and serene atmosphere. Poojas are performed meticulously. It's wonderful to visit a Tamil Temple which is almost 10,000 miles far away from Tamil Nadu, India.
Absolutely must visit place. We visited this place after visiting the hindu monastery. Rudraksha has a sanskrit meaning - Rudra refers to Lord Shiva, and Aksha means tears. Rudraksha represent tears from Lord Shiva when he learnt his consort Sati had given up her life. This is what I read online when I was researching this place.
This place is extremely peaceful with rudraksha trees. The fruits are bright blue but is not edible. These eventually dry out and their seeds become the rudrakshas. As is common with Kauai, you see lot of chickens in this forest. In addition to the rudraksha trees, you will find a beautiful bronze statue of Lord Hanuman, and a walkway through bamboo trees. This leads to some kind of an altar which is believed to be a portal to another world.
I loved gazing the beautiful statue of Lord Hanuman in all his glory. We got a chance to visit this place twice and were lucky to do so. If you are in Kauai, go check this place out. You will feel super happy, refreshed, and peaceful!
This is an amazing location to chill out or just go for picnic. We saw the rudraksha tree for the first time and spent quite a bit of time looking for good rudraksha seed. The fuita are blue in color. I have never seen such bright blue fruits before. We read that they are edible but did not try tasting it. There is also bamboo tunnel that where you can sit and meditate.

Beautiful waterfall; well worth the effort to get there. Expect 8 miles (4.5hrs minimum) of hiking on unpaved rocky terrain. You will need to cross about 4 large rivers. Bring plenty of water and food.
There are restrooms at Hanakapiai beach.
Nice trail to walk along. A number of years ago I also rented a tandem bike for my wife and I and it was really fun as well. I'm not sure if they still rent the bikes now because I didn't see people riding them on our walk. You can't beat the view

Loved watching sunrise here! Very few people further south down the beach and easy parking access right off the road. Ideal spot to take in the waves and dawning of a new day.
The place is very picturesque, a beautiful beach with a wonderful view of the ocean. A very good idea is a fenced pool with emerald-colored sea water. Very convenient for families with small children. Very clean area. Quite windy. Nearby there i

Cute little diner. Friendly wait staff, fast service on a Saturday evening. Enjoyed soju with our meal. Huge portions...plenty of leftovers for later. Great meal.
Some units have ac, this area is a mix of owners and airbnb. The entrance looks like a dump, but the rooms, beach and breeze coming through are top notch. Also convenient to shopping and groceries. Beach side has an elevator. I will be looking here f
