Super fun area for kids of all ages! Creative Halloween decorations and scavenger hunt styled self-directed activity (in October) while peering into Route 66 village buildings. Thank you for such a creative way to entertain weary traveling children!
Nice little Park with some cool things to check out. If you love nature it's worth. Give it 15 to 30 minutes. Kind of buggy though. However, I was here in the beginning of July. Cool little town though of Speculator New York also worth looking at.
The river walk trails provide an easy relaxing walk loaded with informative markers highlighting the plants, animals and regional history of the area.
This was a great pit stop to walk the dog on our way to Lake George with beautiful fall colors in October.
The Sacandaga River Trail in Speculator is one of the best interpretive trails that I have ever walked. Great birds and wildflowers. Lovely river views. Each display of photos, whether birds or wildflowers or trees, is absolutely correct and appropriate. The townspeople of Speculator have done a service to native and tourist alike in building/maintaining this lovely trail.

Stopped at Timberline for a coffee while traveling through the ADK. Excellent place to grab fresh, homemade food and delicious coffee drinks. This will be a regular stop for us when traveling in the area. Highly recommended.
