Nature center with wooded trails/ paths, playground, small ponds. Great area for bird watching. You will see plenty of deer and other small wildlife. The trails are fairly flat so this is appropriate for beginners and those with small children as the focus is on viewing and learning about wildlife.

Excellent place to take children & explore nature. I found a great quite sit spot & was shortly joined by 9 whitetail deer!
The walking trails at the Rye Nature Center are short, rather flat, and just beautiful. It's a great way to spend an hour or two.

Lots of fun for the kids. Terrain is natural and can be treacherous so be mindful of the slopes and rocks around and enjoy the raw beauty in the woods. Have hiking shoes and good judgement on the rocks please be safe. My kid loves it and he is adventurous.
Beautiful park to stop at driving from NYC to Providence, RI! Wish they allowed dogs here. Nice walking trails, would be really nice for kids too, as they have lots of places for kids to play.
Nature walk for toddlers and young kids. The walk is pretty easy to do. The trails are not suitable for strollers.
Nice bit of tranquility to be found here. Saw some chipmunks, squirrels and birds. There is a deer enclosure also, but you'd need to have a good look for them.
