So first off, we showed up around 7 PM. So maybe a lot of this is because the meat was sitting around for awhile. Not sure. The ribs were good. A bit overcooked and a little dry, a bit too tender if anything, but the flavor was good. The chicken was also good, but it was a little dry too. The pulled pork was very dry. Still good when drenched with their house BBQ sauce, which was delicious by the way, but it was still disappointing. I'd also like to say that the white BBQ sauce was delicious. I'd heard of that but never had it before, and was excited to try it on the chicken. Absolutely fantastic sauce. The potato salad was kind of just bad, though. The potatoes were extremely undercooked, with some of them even coming across as borderline crunchy. That could have just been a bad day? Maybe it usually great. The undercooked potatoes kind of matched the dry meats, so maybe things just went poorly today. The gooey cake was dangerously good. Not exactly the hardest thing to make addictive, sure, but good lord, it was good.
Service and atmosphere was great. I think I was the first one there in the morning so it took a bit of time to get my food. The staff was extremely kind - they let me try the black eyed peas before getting the whole side, and it was extremely delicious. The barbecue itself, however, was very disappointing. It wasn’t good at all. But I did enjoy the white sauce.
Just ran up on this place and man o' Man was it a good find!! So good I will be back!! the house sauce and white sauce is so good and tangy. BBQ sandwich was perfect yummm yummm definitely give it a try
$14 for this meal. Very small drink, and the shortest fries ever seen. Nothing over 1". Was 45 minutes before closing on a Friday night, guess i got bottom of the bag. They were nice and hot. BBQ sandwich was just ok, kinda dry. Probably could add sauce if went inside, mine was to go.
Hungry or not, don't miss the opportunity to savor the flavors at Rusty's Bar-B-Q! if you are anywhere near Leeds, it is worth the trip. Rusty's is the real deal. Real smoke flavor in moist, tender meat, I tried the sampler and while all was excellent, the ribs, pork and chicken were truly exceptional. Strongly recommend the potato salad, spicey (but also sweet) baked beans, and the greens made with with conecuh sausage. Portions are generous along with the hospitality. Enjoy!
On a recent visit for lunch, not crowded around 11:30 but very busy at 12. Our pork/chopped bbq sandwiches were perfect! Very moist, flavored/smoked just right and piled-high. The fries were also hot and fresh. Will definitely be returning soon.
Was in the area for a race at Barber and came here for dinner. Food was delicious. Potato salad especially!! Had to get some peanut butter pie as dessert and it was great as well! My friend got ribs and said they were good also.
Great atmosphere, perfect casual dining. Family friendly. Owner Rusty came out to say hi and engaged us with conversation. Customer service is excellent and two thumbs up for the food. We loved it and definitely will be back. Thank you for such a great culinary experience.
What a collection! If you or someone you love, loves anything that has wheels on it, this is a must! My entire family was in awe with everything there! Brice, a new employee of 3 months couldnât rant more about how much he loved working there, and
Great food!!! Extremely nice server too. They were extremely understaffed but our server took good care of us. No alcohol served but the food was so good it makes up for the lack of drinks. I had the taco tour which was a mixture of 13 different taco
Gosh, there are so many wonderful things to say about this specific park. The veterans memorial was built to remember our warriors for our freedom. My uncle was the one who provided the input for this project. I've been several times with friends, pe
