Had king room on main floor. Great shower and towels. Had a comfy side chair plus high top table with 2 stools. Bed very comfortable. Only issue was getting in the room. Code wasn't working. I called the number I was given and waited an hour to get in. Different locking system would be helpful! A couple places to eat within short walk.
We had an enjoyable night sleep. The rooms are all redone and are beautiful. Very cozy cabin feel. The staff are very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. We will come back and stay again. Great place to vacation..
We were very happy with our stay and wish to return soon. The room was clean and comfortable, with furniture that looked very new. We had everything we needed. There were good dining options within walking distance. The hotel's communication was also good; they let us know everything we needed to know beforehand. Two things future guests may want to consider (which did not bother us) are: (1) The Wi-Fi was not fast, so we used our cellular network instead. (2) We could hear the footsteps of the people staying upstairs
Hailey went above and beyond to make sure we felt accommodated and our needs were met for our stay. Also the renovations were very tastefully done— this place looks and feels absolutely brand new! The pictures do not do it justice! Beautiful and comfortable, with plush everything. Nestled in a quiet town with beautiful forests all around. Guests get their own door code by text, so check in and check out is contactless. This would be the perfect stay for a self-care retreat, cozy romantic getaway, or a wonderfully hidden stay to explore the Petrified Forest from. I wish I had the time this trip for an extra night!
The Rusty Buck was a great spot to stop on a solo road trip I took. It's surrounded by beautiful National Forests and is in a great little mountain town. I didn't get to explore much because it was snowing, but I didn't mind being stuck in the room, that's for sure! The bathroom was clean and had pretty high quality toiletries. And the towels were the fluffiest I've ever used. The staff was super lovely when I was booking and even looked up how far the inn was from some of my destinations. They really went above and beyobd.
The new owners have done a wonderful job restoring this inn. The rooms are decorated in such a way that you feel you are in a comfortable home. From the leather chairs to the hand crafted bistro table, cedar plank ceiling to the new wood floors and rug it was one of the cutest rooms I have rented. The rustic feel with the lantern lamps and eight point buck print on the wall, it’s perfect place to stop if you are in the area. The court yard with picnic tables, carved figures surrounded by the newly painted exterior makes this quite charming. So glad we made the call last night as we were driving through the area and decided to stop and stay here. Highly recommend it!
Room was spotless, bed was comfortable, nice quality linens. Only downside is a tad bit of road noise but overall the room was perfect for what I needed.
Super fun to take the family. Nice weather. 30 miles drive on the dirt road take us to Bear Canyon Lake. We camp the further you drive it will be the closes to the lake and bathrooms.
