Rusca House B&B - Featured Reviews (13)
Perfect location close to everything! We parked our car and only moved it once to go to dinner at Mariner's. Bridget was a wonderful host and breakfast was delicious. We were nervous about staying at a B&B as we have never done this before. We enjoyed hours of conversation with other guest after breakfast. We stayed at in the Stella Room and it was nice but the tub is not big enough for 2. Would definitely stay again!
We knew we made a great choice the moment we walked in! This is not your typical tired grandma's Victorian type B&B you find everywhere nowadays. Rusca is in a historic home with a decidedly upscale feel...but not too much. The rooms are large and shared space was very inviting. Personally I loved the gardens...and having my morning coffee on the front porch swing. Can't wait to go back. We already know where we're going to stay. Oh and the homemade breakfast was delicious.
I was taken aback by the romantic charm of this place. We had a private back entrance to our room, which made it seem like we were renting our own apartment for the night. The key was taped to the back door, which was great! We didn't have to check in, and it was so convenient. The room was spacious, clean, and wonderfully decorated. Plus the bed was so comfortable! The B&B and the room itself are totally hidden gems! Sooo relaxing! I would have given this place a 5/5 if the breakfast was a bit better. The room where we had breakfast was super cute and charming, but everything served was frozen. It tasted fine, buuut to get a 5/5 the food would need to be a step up.
We spent two nights in the "Stella" room. We found the room to be spacious, well appointed and clean. The air jetted tub was a wonderful opportunity to relax in total peace. Our room, as with all the other rooms, had it's own private entrance. Coffee & tea was provided in the room.||||The beautiful grounds is an added bonus. We enjoyed the manicured gardens (there are 2 areas) with the fountain and various sitting areas. There is also the option to sit on the front porch or use the two person swing. ||||Bridget had a family health issue to address, so she made arrangements for our breakfast at the other B & B they own which was only three blocks away. The location is on a quiet street just off the main route to the Historic District. Parking is off-street behind the B&B.
We've stayed at this inn several times in both the Pearl and St. Elmo rooms. They are both quite lovely. I think I prefer the Pearl as it seems a bit more secluded to me. Both the rooms have nice bathrooms with jetted bathtubs. The rooms are quite comfortable and the owner is always a pleasure to work with. Breakfast is included in the room price too. I would highly recommend this inn over staying in any hotel here. It is within walking distance to the Front Street shopping also.
Outstanding breakfast. Period furniture and art in a 1920 Louisiana cottage with front porch, back porch, and gardens. Very quiet and luxurious. Far better than a motel stay. Walking distance to cute shops, good restaurants, and beautiful river park. Highly recommend.
Beautiful Craftsman style home within short walking distance of city center. Beautiful gardens surround the house. We stayed in the Pearl room which has both a front and back entrance in addition to an entrance into the common areas of the house from the interior of the room. The front room entrance has a small private patio with rockers. The rear room entrance looks out onto the gardens and fountain. The main porch has a swing and table and chairs - a great place for relaxing, reading a book or enjoying coffee or wine. Maybe the resident cat will appear. On site parking. Breakfast rather ho hum - scrambled eggs, two sausages, a biscuit, juice and coffee. We were the only guests so had the house to our selves.
We enjoyed our stay at The Rusca House. Breakfast was delicious! The location is convenient to Front Street. The house has all of the Natchitoches charm and we loved the size of our room. With a little break in the heat, we were able to enjoy sitting on the front porch and relax after breakfast one morning. We look forward to coming back here soon.
The stay here was excellent! Rooms were very comfortable and clean and Kelly (the innkeeper) made our stay much more enjoyable. She greeted us every morning with a smile and portrayed a very pleasant atmosphere.
Great food and location, but even better customer service. The owner was so pleasant and polite. I enjoyed talking with her. She saw that my pancakes were on the dark side and stated that she would go to the kitchen and remake them for me. I am not f
This is a must stay B&B. The decor is fantastic. Staff was very accommodating.
Room was beautiful and a fantastic bed.
Walking distance from river and shopping
Amazing fried chicken and the nicest people working there. The red beans and rice were insanely good as well. It was the kind of lunch that made us debate afterwards if it was the best fried chicken that we had ever had. It is that good. So cri
Loved our stay! It checked all the things that are important to me: central location, gated parking, clean room, friendly staff and beautiful decor. Will definitely stay here again.
