Their food was very delicious 😋. We walked in and the aromas kidnapped our taste buds. My wife almost slipped me in my face because the food was so good. The customer service was good. We will be back for seconds very soon. Next time we'll be getting the whole sandwiches. This place will comfort your taste buds and you will be happy with your meal.

This Pittsburgh institution IS NO LONGER. They might have the same dirty location, the same menu (not really), the same grunge atmosphere, but the FOOD is not the same.... it's gross! That's only IF you get what you order. BIG IF! Do check! Because there is nobody there that will make sure your call-in order is correct and if it's wrong, well, TOO BAD! Which brings me to the most important part: RUDE RUDE RUDE people working there. I know, customer service has been cancelled all over. But when you're in food service and you want people to patronize your place, you better have great food and great people and all around great service or your bad business practices will eventually fail you out of business. Good business is not happening at Rudy's. It's gross. The people are mean. The era of Rudy's is long over. If you're looking for that old familiar sandwich and the friendly faces, you've gone to the wrong place. Our family will never go there again. There are too many other great sub shops within spitting distance of this sh&thole.

Usually love this place, but today I ordered 3 foot long subs and all of them were burnt to a crisp, see pic. I am very surprised they would sell it like this to the public, but maybe they thought I wouldn’t notice since it was on the inside and it was a takeout order? I called to let them know and they said sorry the oven must have been set too high. That’s it, no offer to make it right. Oh well, buyer beware. Maybe unwrap it in the store before you pay for it.

The food was delicious and fresh, the fries were hot and crispy. The reason I did not give 5 stars is for two reasons. 1. The sign said “buy 2 subs get one free on Sunday” No where does it said the sub had to be a full and not a half. 2. My fiancé and I dined in along with 2 other couples that were there. A female worker from the back that seemed to be cooking was rather loud and obnoxious and also used profanity once. If my kids had been there I would have said something. She mentioned something about “how she’s worked there since she was 12 and how her other job pays so much more” It was very unprofessional and I even saw the customers sitting in front of us look over several times when she was being loud. So it was distracting.

Rudy's Subs has been a staple in Monroeville since forever. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, made to order... They make it the way YOU want it. Their hours are convenient for when that hunger hits. Excellent!

The hoagies were delicious, the staff was so friendly. Definitely one of the things I miss about Pittsburgh. My only suggestion is to spiff up the building it’s very antiquated and not inviting from the outside and that’s a shame because the food and staff are spot on.

Went this Sunday before the virus shut everything down. Met the friendliest counter person ever. Enjoyed my steak & cheese sub and fries. I haven’t had a Rudy’s Sub since I was a teenager. Tasted just as good as it did so many years ago. Delicious. I imagine while we are practicing social distancing anyone could call ahead and pre-order for pick-up. Support any local businesses you can during these trying times. If you need a quick bite and don’t want to cook, you still have options instead of a fast food chain. 5 stars.

I’m from the Philly area and Rudy’s has one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had. Amazing shoestring fries too. Great staff and it’s always ready quick!
