Great place for breakfast or brunch just off Canal St in mid-city. This was our first Nola breakfast outing and it didn't disappoint! My shrimp omelet was great and the biscuits are sooo tasty! Plenty of tables inside, good service and a quiet, chill vibe on a Friday morning.
I wanted to go to toast but no parking space over there and long line. I end up at the Ruby slipper cafe.
I am glad I did! Parking spot over there dedicated to their customers, no big line, good food, good service, good atmosphere, clean. The perfect breakfast place. Stress free!
Their omelets are good!
Our server, Antwyn was super helpful and really hospitable. I would come back just for his service. The food was amazing too though. The French toast was amazing. I’ll definitely visit again when I’m in New Orleans.
Loved everything about this place. We dined at the S. Broad location. It's fairly new, opened in 2017. They have parking in the back, outdoor seating, and a few games (i.e. cornhole), presumably for waiting patrons. I placed myself on the waitlist but the wait was only 15-20 minutes as opposed to 1-2.5 hours at the other locations.
The food was delicious. The French toast bites were like candy, so light and crispy, yet sweet. The sweet potato beignets, a seasonal dish, were also delicious, with the beignets placed on top of the scrumptious sweet potato puree and whipped cream. The omelets were tasty, not oily or rubbery, and the grits were equally delicious. I tried the biscuit and the butter on the side topped it off perfectly. Ruby Slipper is a must visit while in New Orleans. I'll definitely visit again.
So glad this location has a parking lot!!! We came into town just for this place, and are so glad we did. Everything we got tasted amazing and the service was top notch, we have never eaten at a Ruby Slipper so our server was the best, giving us honest recommendations. Talk about a food coma that is worth it. If we are ever in new Orleans again we will stop by.
I’ll tell you this was the best restaurant that I ate at the whole time that I was in New Orleans which was 3 days. I have never taste anything like it before. Those were the best Benedicts I ever had in my life and I am 59 yrs Old. If you haven’t tried this restaurant, I guarantee you will give it a 5 ⭐️ when you get up from the table. Trust me on this one!!!
Excellent food! This would be my go-to spot if I lived in the area. Will come again next time I’m in town. Highly recommended to others.
Food was amazing! I live in New Orleans for so long and I never came here thinking it was another tourist place and I was impressed. Everything was delicious and the service was great as well!! I will definitely come back

This was one of my favorite museums during my visit. I learned so much. Didn't know about the free People of Color in Louisiana. Imagine if they had been allowed to thrive... how different America would be today.
Of all the trees in City Park the McDonough Oak is likely the oldest and the most majestic. The huge branches have sagged to the ground under their own weight and over time. This tree stood in an ancient forest on this spot long before Europeans arri
