I have always driven by this restaurant, but have not tried it. Finally, I remembered to try this place with a friend last night (Wednesday). They had $1 oysters from Island Creek! We ordered 2 cocktails, and it was good. The French Onion Soup was bland, very bland. I think it was the worst French Onion Soup I've ever had. I don't recommend ordering this. The seafood risotto was amazing! It was a decent sized portion, and the flavor was on point. Highly recommend ordering this as your entree. The Tiramisu wasn't good, unfortunately. Overall, I'm going to give this place a 3/5.
Went there late on a Thursday night right before closing. Appreciate the fact they let us order food. The food was generally pretty good. The portions were very small, so that was a little disappointing. Small place that was dimly lit prijected a cozy feel. The service was very good.
Very quaint and intimate bistro. There is a little bar and some tables. Took my wife and sister out for lunch on a Friday around 1:30 and there was still seating available. My wife ordered a chicken sub and she liked it. My sister had a salad that she loved. I got a meat ball sub. Not the best I’ve had but I would go back again and try something else. They make their own sort of potato chips/fries?? Diane loved them. I wasn’t a fan. Our waitress was very nice. There’s pretty good street parking. If you can’t park on Hancock Street there is parking on the nearby side streets. I got a bourbon rocks and they weren’t stingy with the pour. Nice place with good prices. Give them a try if you’re in the neighborhood. 👍👍
Pretty average - food definitely needed seasoning (S+P) and service was pretty slow despite the place not being full. Expected to be blown away based on some of the reviews we read here, but left disappointed. The wait staff were super nice and friendly and the place is super quaint, just food and service (time to get our food/drinks) was not that great.
Nice place, however I think we came on the day they had some shortage with staff... I think there was only one person who worked as a waitress and a cook at the same time. If that is the case, she did miracles because the place was VERY busy at lunch time. Unfortunately for us, it took about 45 minutes to get food, plus about 15 minutes for eating, which was in total way longer I could or wanted to spend on lunch. So, timewise it was stressful and not worth it. Food was good, but my burger was medium rare, instead of well done, as I wanted and way too salty. It still was acceptable, so no complains. The waitress was super nice and really did miracles there, trying to manage all craziness of a busy time.
A very good place for a standard breakfast or lunch with a spin. The pricing is fine, and the portion sizes are great. It's hard to tell when the patio is or isn't open, so on the very nice days this fall, it was a bummer to be inside only. The inside is quiet and low-key. Service is average, as there might only be one person and 7 tables-- but food comes quickly. More so just the checking in and water refills were the issue.
The service was good, however; the menu did not have mediterranean options on it. The lamb was out at like 5 pm on a Friday. The crab cake was the best that I have ever had, however; the pizza was the worst. The drinks were not so good, too much syrup concentrate, just thick and sweet. Coming back soley to pick up the crab cakes.
I come here with my boyfriend at least once per month if not 3-4 times per month. We'll say oh maybe we should try....and go to a restaurant and have an okay experience and catch ourselves saying we should just have gone to Rozafa. Breakfast - the corned beef hash is fabulous Lunch - I love the turkey sandwich on homemade focaccia, my boyfriend loves the gobbler and the fried chicken sandwich Dinner - the bolognese, the steak tips, the specials You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the drinks are great as well.
