My wife and I stayed here on 7/19/24, we checked in at 2:50pm. We brought our suitcase in and my wife turned the air conditioner on because it was very hot in the room, we then left to go eat and enjoy Hampton beach. We returned at a little after 9pm to find the room to be very hot due to someone entering the room after we left and turned off the air conditioner. ( no timer, the knob has to be turned to the off position) Yes they went into our room that we payed for and shut the air conditioning OFF. We were chocked to say the least, I understand it cost money to run a window ac unit but the room is paid for. It explains why the room is so run down, dating it to the 50s like other have said doesn’t do the 50s any justice. The door only has a door knob that locks from the outside side, there is a chain on the door but it is missing the end so you can’t chain the door. My wife was worried that if they entered our room to shut the ac what prevents them from coming in during the night? So I took one of the chairs and slid it under the door knob, place is so run down, bathroom is beyond tiny. Shower head is like 8 inches from the wall(if you’re a big person good luck) shower walls are all cracked. The place is just so run down. I gave it a three star for the location only.
This place is definitely for bargain hunters as it is from the 60’s and has not been remodeled. However, the furniture and bed are modern and it was very clean, comfortable, quaint, and simple. We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to the Old Salt Restaurant and away from the hustle and noise of the beach front. Lafayette is a busy street with some traffic noise, but there are sidewalks on each side to walk safely to some of the local businesses in town.
Room was dirty it had hair in the bed and a tiny stain. The shower curtain and lamp also had stains as well as a piece of a wrapper was still in the shower drain. The tile in the bathroom has a layer of dust on it. The chain lock was easily broken into as well just slip your hand thru the door and you can get yourself in very quickly. Also pretty outdated.
We are budget travellers and weren't looking for anything fancy. We just needed a decent place to spend one night.||This is the cheapest we found and we are happy with what we got.||Yes it's a motel...no surprises there..so if you were expecting a Hilton you're dumb.||The rooms are good sizes and clean. We had a clean, comfortable, king bed. Shower that work and has hot water. Toilet that flushes. A fridge. A microwave. Free parking.||Like what else do you need from a motel?||The only downside: late check out is not an option. At all.||Check in: apparently only until 8pm....meh
This was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had. My boyfriend went out to his car to grab something at 3am and the wife and husband came out and started yelling at us. They opened the door to our room and saw one of our friends in there with us and kicked us out at 3am for having an extra person. They threatened to call the cops if we didn’t leave. On top of that there was a candle wax stain on the bed sheets and hair all over the bed. Really a run down place with a very unpleasant owner.
Room smelled clean but lots of dust and dead bugs.. Shower is very tiny bathroom is very small! People were very nice! Great location but little pricey for the room!
Couldnt believe they were quite nice but controlling in terms of where i parked, how far back in the parking spot the vehicle was. Also the wife cane out twice cuz i was in my car while my friend was in the room. Around 2an. I attempted to go to a 24 hour pharmacy when both owners approached me and asked where i was going and then asked md to vacate the room, surprisingly with a full refund. If your nocturnal like i am you will not like tbis place. They like that all of the guests are in bed sleeping at a decent hour
I have a single room. Saw the shakey reviews, not really sure why people are complaining. It's a great place to lay your head at night while you enjoy the beach for the weekend. We are not at a 400$ a night room. This place is very reasonable.
This was the best thing we did on vacation this summer. We went in early September and had a one on one with Ellen. She was fabulous and so so so knowledgeable. My partner and I were so incredibly impressed with all the up close animal interactions,
I go here almost every morning, and I donât ever regret it. They always know my coffee, and my rush. They saw me go through a hard time and offered me a free drink, or two 𥰠seriously the best team ever, not to mention the coffees pretty amazing
The green room is the perfect place if you are looking for a healthy meal. They have a variety of sandwiches, smoothies, and salads.
The staff is always smiling and helpful!
I got the Wake Up smoothie, and the only thing I would change is I wish I co
