Royal Inn - Hotel in Beech Island - 4638 Jefferson Davis Hwy, USA

Very renovated. I stayed 5 nights. No smells, new carpet, new bed, new everything. I advise anyone reading this to Consider this model. Forget any motels on Washington Rd. They're stinky especially heritage and super 8. The only recommendation is breakfast, they should add coffee machine in rooms

The hotel is a remodeled motel from the 1960's. Stayed there for one night during the Masters. A fine, budget option for one night. Bed was actually very comfortable and appeared new. Clean bathroom and carpets. Small tv, good mini-fridge.|It will do.

I am currently staying at the Royal Inn. And it's anything but Royal. There's a couple in the next room that sounds like they're fighting. And nobody's doing anything about it. I can hear their screaming all in my room. It's absolutely horrible hearing their quarrel. Also, their wifi doesn't work. The curtain on my room window is full of holes. My bathroom window is a piece of plastic, that's loose in its frame. I could keep going, but just trust me when I say, save your money and stay far far away from this hotel

Two stars. One for the cleanliness of the room the other for the comfort of the bed and fluffy pillows. The staff went through my room while I was gone and reset my air conditioner to suit their desires. DON'T PAY WITH CREDIT CARD OR ELSE THEY WILL PROBABLY WRONGLY CHARGE YOU FOR A LATE CHECKOUT because at 10 am sharp there is a man recording you on his phone banging on your door calling CHECK OUT and he comes back every few minutes to harass you until you go to the door and remind him that their website said CHECKOUT IS AT 10:30. Go somewhere else and spend your money at a place that will respect your privacy by not recording you, not reset your air conditioner and lock it's function to suit their desires, and won't harass you for trying to use the bathroom in peace before checkout.

A group of us stayed here the night before the Masters. I was pleasantly surprised. Although this is an older Motel, it's obvious that the owners are working hard to deliver great service, and clean comfortable rooms. It appeared to me that the pillows and bedding were brand new. The carpets were spotless, and the bathroom toilet/seat cover appeared new as well. Obviously, this was not a Hilton - but I received far far more than I expected. So, service and rooms get 5 Stars. Location (which they have no control over) only 3.

The rooms were great, updated with comfortable beds and working TV and WiFi, although my Zoom did not work on multiple browsers. Bathroom and shower were fine. The grounds are really shabby. Although there weren't many other rooms booked when I was there on a recent Thursday, I saw a used condom on the sidewalk as I was packing up to leave the next morning. Check-in was bumpy. The hotel did not answer the phone, and there was no voice mail, in the hour leading up to my check-in. The man checking me in had trouble with English and had to confer with his boss continually during what should have been a pro forma process. There is an outstanding Mexican restaurant a stone's throw away, which was a nice surprise. and you can buy beer and other sinful items at the gas station next to the restaurant.

The room was not great. But it's a old place. The housekeeping folks were great. I never saw them and they didn't mess with any of my stuff.
