Positive: The room was very spacious, with padded sitting chairs & table. Bathrooms very clean. Newer AC worked very good. Negative: Remote on TV did not control volume. Older Windows need cleaning.
We made a reservation with booking, we traveled from spain in a east coast road trip, when we arrived they told us that we only got one room, our reservations were without refund, the owner told the employee to tell us to ask for refund for one of the rooms to booking, and give us a double. We book 2 queen size rooms and they were paid. After seeing that in the booking reservation appears two rooms they give a double and a queen.
No refunds and we got two rooms only because the girl in reception do her job, nor the owner.
Avoid this inn if you can, it's a thieves den.
I hear the owner telling that the client had to accept only one room and they will not refund anything, but we have paid the 2 rooms.
The place was not that bad, but the cheap owner is worse.
OK choice for travel through the area late at night. $80 room rice for two queen beds made me select it. Not updated but kind of cozy.
Shower pressure was nice. Good shower. Cold water tub tap needed to be pushed in to be adjusted which took some time to figure out as it hung loose in #108.
Dated rooms. Cheap towels. Not a luxury but ok for a night.
Kids liked the family restaurant just across the parking lot for quick waffles.
Convenient location for Toronto to Washington DC trip.
Immediately found a bed bug and they said it will be days to refund lady at the desk was sweet and helpful but the owners were not
We have stayed at this motel before which was why I booked here again. This stay became our official worst stay at a motel.
Soon after entering the room my wife joked that it might be a storage room because there were two extra tables beside the bed. My wife is deathly afraid of spiders, she said I can't stay here since there were 3 in the bathroom and 2 in the sleeping area. I grabbed a towel and killed them and said; "There, no spiders now." We then noticed that the Smoke Detector was chirping every couple of minutes which is typical if the battery needs to be replaced.
There was phone in the room, I picked up the handset but there wasn't any dial tone. I headed up to the office regarding the smoke detector. The motel clerk grabbed a new pack of batteries and headed to our room. After the batteries were replaced she said if you need anything else just use the phone to call me. I said it doesn't work and handed her the receiver. The phone wasn't plugged into a jack, unfortunately I didn't take a picture. We couldn't find a jack. While checking the phone we found hair pins on the floor.
We were also finding a number of small bugs which we started killing. We killed at least 15 before calling it a night about 9:30.
The final straw was just after 2:00 am the smoke detector started chirping again. First it woke my wife, I woke up at 2:13. Not able to sleep we got up. Since we brought our own coffee maker, coffee, cereal and milk we had breakfast and slowly got ready to leave while killing even more bugs. Left the keys in the room when we left at 5:30.
My wife has said we will never stay here again.
Speaking as hotel housekeeping manager. I have been one for the last 13 in Port Aransas TX. This place is horrible. My first room was extremely dirty. Other people's hair everywhere from the tub to the bed. The bath tub is absolutely discussing. The soap sum was to the drain the whole was around the tub. Food still in the microwave and fridge. So of course I said something in the morning. As it was after 1 a.m. when we checked in. Which they charged me an extra $10 to do. Never heard of a late check-in fee. 14 yrs in the hotel business. Why have an office open 24-7 but change someone to us it after 10 p.m. So they gave us another room because the one had was gross. Ok as a housekeeper I do know a badly cleaned room can slip by on occasions. But the second rooms tub was just as bad if not worse. It would literally take 10 mins and a magic eraser to clean the tub properly. Just avoid this place would be my suggestion. Unless you don't mind other peoples dirty and grim. Just terrible terrible.

I would not recommend this place at all. There was cockroach all through our room. Burn marks and strains on the beds and a used wash rag when we first got there. We left and the told us we would be reimbursed. Never got reimbursed and now they are saying we’re not getting our money back after they gave us their word they would.
