Royal Inn - Motel in Live Oak - 968 Ohio Ave N, USA

Toilet broken, roaches in room, curtain didn't provide full privacy, power outlets falling inside wall, room phone not plugged in, tv stuck on 'descriptive audio' for several channels, no maid staff (waited hours for towels), parking lot was blocked off (had to park far away), expensive (paid$82 + $30 early check-in). Good AC, good ice machine, located at freeway exit.

Idk about all these low reviews, but this is my honest experience. A few weeks back we had a bad storm come by and it birthed 5 tornadoes across swiannee county I'm in live oak with a 200 year old oak tree sitting next to my power lines and I had the whole weatherhead ripped off my house with the power lines on the ground ripped from the weathehead. Long story short fpl had me 4 days with no power so I rented a room to stay in. As you see soon as I walked in I took the pictures , Bed is clean room didn't smell of any bad odors , flat screen with cable TV, microwave was clean and working sink amd bathroom was clean , ac works but it's a wall unit when room is vacant it's off so it took a bit to cool down but it worked great , wifi was the only issue I had once connected it said connected with no internet that was that the whole time but for 65 bucks a night can't beat that with a base all bat . I enjoyed my stay, this is better than the roach motel on 90.

It's a cheap hotel. It's clean. Some of the wall outlets don't work, but the tv, the fridge, the microwave, and the shower do. The family that run it are friendly.

I don't usually rate places this low but this was gross. From check in, lady spoke NO English, as we were bringing bags into the room, she started spraying febreeze over the bed & in the air. Floors have not been swept and there was pee in the toilet from last quest. TV/remote didn't work. The bed sheets were stained and dirty while pulling back the blankets. Sign on the door said to watch for human traffickers at that hotel. There was no soaps at all provided, & we were given only 1 towel & 1 wash cloth at check in to share. Tub was filthy with hair and no breakfast at all. Over all, if you can avoid this hotel, please find other accommodations.

A necessity, but not an unpleasant one. Rooms were nice, bed was huge♥️. I'd do it again.

I travel for work. Stayed here a year ago. The rooms were not nice at all but for $250/week I wasn’t complaining. Someone new bought the place, did some slight renovations and now they’re charging $500/week for me and my dog to stay. The renovations did help a little, but it’s still a cheap low end motel with lights and outlets that don’t work. This is a $350/week hotel over priced at $500. The Econolodge down the road is the same price, go there instead. Also the lady that works in the office speaks practically zero English. She can sign you up to stay at the hotel but if you have any problems or questions she won’t be able to answer/help you. It’s very frustrating. She seems nice and like she’s trying. But she shouldn’t have been hired into a position that takes strong communication skills

This place should be shut down, Health department needs to inspect, the most disgusting, nasty motel I have ever seen. Toilet had feces on it, dirty carpet, won't even go into anymore detail. Shame on the owner here.

I have to say that this has been the best hotel experience I've had in a very long time. The manager Sarah is the sweetest woman I've met working at a hotel like this. She brought me coffee and cake and we sat and chatted for awhile. She's a true Christian woman and conducts herself with respect, authority, and most important, LOVE. She went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was pleasant and that I was taken care of. The maintenance man was on top of every need and even offered to help me after hours with issues I was having. The overall experience was 100 percent amazing and I am truly blessed to have found this place. Praise YHWH!
