Jumped off I -40 at Tucumcari and drove through town. Neat to see the old motels from a bygone era.
interesting and beautiful monument to the old days of route 66. reminded me of the movie cars , as a lot of the stores and buildings and their architecture along the strip look like they were depicted in the movie.
Cool photo opp and nice homage to the historical Route 66 but nothing more to it.
A must for Route 66 seekers! This stone is huge and easy to get to and back to the main path.
A beautiful memorial to our beloved Route 66. Tons of parking for a prime photo opportunity.
The building itself was closed. Looks like permanently. But it was fun to take pics and walk on the famous Route 66.
